I've been in summer school before. Once I took 9th grade health after my 8th grade year to get it out of the way so I could take another class during the school year. It was fine...and almost somewhat enjoyable at times.
I retook the second semester of Algebra I (from when I was in advanced math in 8th grade) last summer after I finished 10th grade because I realized I wasn't pleased with my grade. It wasn't too bad either.
This summer I MIGHT take physics because I had no room for it this year and I am already taking two hard sciences next year in my senior year, so I am thinking about taking physics this summer along with a few friends...especially since some of the colleges I'm looking at either require or recommend having taken physics.
All in all, summer school isn't THAT bad. I mean, yeah...who wants to get up early and spend more time at school than they have to? However, you can take summer school and still have a life during the summer. There are a lot worse things.
