I don't hate the guy (I don't even know him), but I do feel sorry for him. Same with anyone who deliberately mutilates their bodies for vanity, where it's someone who gets ridiculous plastic surgeries or those people who cover their faces with tattoos. I just find it sad that someone could hate their own bodies so much that they deliberately destroy it just to look like someone else.

There is no reason whatsoever to assume he hates his body, or that he feels that he is destroying it. Some people get tattoo's and surgery because they believe it is an enhancement. They do not want to be "normal". They dont do it to look like somebody else, they do it do they DONT look like anyone else. The tragedy here isnt that he looks different, its that his health is being compromised potentially very seriously.

You certainly shouldnt feel sorry for people who have made the decision to look different from the norm. Your sympathies are wasted on people who have made a concious decision to change their physical appearance.

I dont enjoy the way he looks, but I can empathise with his desire to be different. I do hope he doesn't kill himself in the process.
