Some old man yelled at me while I was driving...

-He yelled at me for not stopping at a stop sign. There was a stop sign in front of me and in front of the old man. It wasn't a 4 way intersection or anything. It was just a 3 way place. With the other lane going the opposite direction of me obviously. And another one to my right. The guy stopped, I just kept going cause I knew there weren't any other cars in my way. And then the old dude rolled down the windows and yelled at me. I was gonna flip him off but I decided to be nice instead and just drove off cussing at him in my head.

-Seriously...what's his problem? If he was in danger of getting hit by me, then he has every right to yell at me. But he was in no danger at all. It was just me and him in the lanes. Maybe he's just obsessed with safe driving. Screw him. Next time I see him, I'll get out of my car and flip him off. Or maybe I should just yell back telling him to stop driving like a turtle lol.

Now, If I see multiple cars in the lanes, then I stop at stop signs. If it's just me and some other guy in the opposite lane, then I keep going cause there's no point of stopping. I've done this many many times...and the funny thing is, I've never been caught by the cops. I know what I'm doing. I don't just do things without knowing it.

This is the second time I've agreed with something you posted today, I dunno if there's a full moon out or what.

Idve still flicked the guy off, though, anyone who yells at me while driving typically gets the finger. If I were in his position I wouldn't have yelled, Idve flicked you (TC) off, yelling is so unnecessary.

It's still stupid. What if he was turning and didn't have his signal on? What if a pedestrian starts crossing before you get to the intersection thinking you're going to stop? Stop signs are there for a reason, what's so important that you can't take the five seconds to stop for them?

I actually believe a lot of accidents, not just on the road, occur because people switch off their initiative and do stuff by habit. Still, a stop sign is clearly not discretionary. When you're in control of a piece of machinery that can kill another person instantly, you should be thinking worst case scenario all the time.

sure the odds are low but the consequences for that one time are too much to risk.

The only problem I see is you being a dumbass. Its the freaking law. STOP means STOP. I know of too many people who have done what you've done and ended up killing/hurting themselves and or others. Yeah this is what i do when its late at night or whenever just do a rolling stop no big deal in that, some **** cops might fine you if they see you doing it but i've been doing it for a long time and never had any issues.

Now if you just blew the stop sign without even slowing down than that guy had every right to yell at you.

Yea... you need to move to somewhere where you can use public transportation, that way you won't be able to kill anyone.

I think TC has been sufficiently (and correctly) chastised for a poor driving decision. Please stop at all stop signs to avoid possibly doing something you would regret for the rest of your life.
