They aren't really popular as far as I can tell.
I think their music is good just because. I can't point out anything because it's just the overall sound of the band.
At my college radiostation (and even here in OT) they are talked about a lot. The songs ive heard from them really sound generic to me, i just wanted some of their better work (if they have any)They aren't really popular as far as I can tell.

[QUOTE="mexicangordo"][QUOTE="Sonir77"]I love museSonir77Great! :| I hope they release a new album sometime  At first i thought you were being serious, but boy did you get me the second time.
Muse is great becauseof how they effortlessly blend classic music into heavy rock music on an epic and over-the-top scale and Bellamy's incredibly awesome voice, not to mention there are only three members (four for live shows, but he just does the little extra things)And when they play live, they don't hold anything back. Every song they play is played flawlessly and with tons of energy.
They actually aren't that popular. Not in the mainstream sense, I guess. If you know a lot of Muse songs, chances are you're a huge fan, or at least like them. You won't be able to go up to most people on the street and be able to talk to them about Muse.
Most of the songs you hear on the radio will be their most mainstreamish and accessible songs- a majority of which come from their newest album. If you want to check out their more progressive and heavier side (which everybody should) take a listen to:
Heavier/prog-ish/
Citizen Erased
Stockholm Syndrome
New Born
Piano Skillz
Butterflies & Hurricanes (can't get this one to link properly, but make sure to check it out)
Space Dementia
Voice
Microcuts
Electronic-ish
Take A Bow
Map Of The Porblematique
Hope that helps. ;)
And how can you not love when Matt;s playing some epic piano solo with that glittery red guitar strapped on his back?
