I just don't think SNL is funny anymore, none of the new sketches are even close to the old ones.

Give me Chevy Chase or any of the old cast over the new cast ....

I just can't believe that it has got this low on the funny scale it just sad to watch now...

Whats your thoughts ?

It hasn't been funny for years. Of all the skits I have watched this year, I only laughed two times.

SNL kinda goes through phases, it might end up being funny again when the cast rolls over in a few years.

I personally stopped watching when they did some "cow fart" sketch a few years back.

In my opinion, the show hit rock bottom during the mid-2000s once cast members such as Tim Meadows, Will Ferrell, and Chris Kattan left. Even if they stayed, the show would not improve much, because the supposedly funny skits are atrocious. The writers waste the potential talent of members such as Kenan Thompson by placing them in unfunny garbage. It's times like these that make me wish that Chris Farley was still alive.

It irks me that Tina Fey gets so much credit for being a brilliant writer, when she was the head writer when SNL started going downhill fast.

I didn't even think that "**** in a box" skit was very funny, and apparently that's the best they've had in years. If that's the best they've had in years, then I don't even wanna take a look at the UNfunny ones.

hmm i beg to differ, i think its coming out of a slump. Trying to find its place. The digital shorts are funny and The Update seems to be getting better. Sure there are some bad sketches but its not that bad like other shows...

I would say from 1990-2003 it was at its funniest. Once Will Ferrell left, it went downhill.

I've always thought that Steve Martin's performance on SNL was pretty good. Still, even he admits that SNL was never very good anyway.
