Simple things you enjoy

Lets face it life can be very stressful and painful but sometimes the simple things in life can help take off some of the stress, so what are some simple things you enjoy?

For me I really like mall walking yes I'm old. I find it relaxing and I get some exercise on top of it. I don't care about shopping. I love when the malls are not busy and it's late morning and sunny and the sunlight is going through the skylights I find it relaxing.

Walking is a good one. I walked every single day when I lived in Australia. I had to, but I also loved it. I'll start up again when the snow is mostly gone here.

Coffee is another one. It's probably more of an addiction as I'm miserable and get splitting headaches if I don't get my caffeine but it's simple and I enjoy it.

I smoke weed and I like to have sex.

Being alone, slowing down, turning my phone off, doing absolutely nothing (not even gaming), and just shutting off from everything. Just locking my bedroom door and lying in my bed.

There's just something so meditative and sensory deprivation-like about it.

Hate to tell you this warmblur, Malls are a slow dying thing now. Sad but it's gonna happen in the next decade.

Sitting on my balcony on a rainy day, visiting my grandparents, watching livestreams and let's plays on my favorite gaming-related youtube channels.

I like to sit on my back patio, drink a lager, stare at my fire pit and look at the stars.

I get to look out my lanai and see this every night...

Sentimental, maybe. Silly, probably. But it makes me happy.

@davillain-: It's actually a lot used for some of the car dealerships in the nearby area to store their excess vehicles--it's not open for the general public.

The lot used to be empty except for weekends, when it was used for a local swap meet. Before that, it used to be a drive-in theater, but they closed it long before I moved there about 15 years ago.

@DEVILinIRON: Very nice, indeed. On the left side of the lanai, you get a perfect view of Pearl Harbor, which is less than a few miles away. I'll upload a pic of that when I get home.

Walking in general for sure. (Especially early in the morning, better mood throughout the day.)

Good music is another one.

Then, to top it off I’d say just having a good meal regularly.

Nothing too heavy or filling. Just something you can walk away from thinking: “Yeah, that was nice.” Without feeling like you overate. A good soup is something I really appreciate these days too.

Swimming, and also just generally floating in the water. Quite relaxing.

Having a Tim Horton's coffee in the morning and music is a great way to relax and enjoy. I walk to work every day while I listen to my music. I also like to stop by McDonald's and have a cafe and cookies or if I am hungry, have a Big Mac meal. Simple stuff but makes me appreciate life and I am happy to do those things. 🙂

I enjoy watching water cascade over things.

Nothing. I like to just sit and space out. Might consider it meditation, but it's not like a practiced thing. I'll just sit there and think...or not think, just empty my mind. I've sat in waiting rooms for like an hour with no problem lol.

Reading is another one I enjoy, nothing like a good book. Sadly there are so many distractions I more or less forget to read.

Driving. Gives me a rush, I love it. Stick shift forever.

Going to the bathroom after having had to hold it. Most bodily functions are enjoyable. Sex, sneezing, scratching an itch, stretching, yawning.

Taking one drag on a cigarette and getting a massive head rush (I don’t smoke).

Popping an opiate, feeling the warmth slowly settling over me after about ten minutes as I chow down on some good grinds and play some good games.

Sleep. Love the period of drifting into unconsciousness under the warmth of the covers when the mind is firing off in a million different directions, thoughts and memories at once, yet still conscious enough to trip out to it. It’s fun to see where the mind wanders. Doing this while extremely high on weed has given me some pretty incredible experiences.

Drawing.

Just laying with a woman I’m attracted to. Not even sex, just laying with her. One of the most pleasurable things in existence.

I'm another walker. I try to get in a minimum of two miles a night and on my days off I shoot for five. I'm also thinking of maybe walking around my mall since I haven't been there in years and I want to see all that changed.

i'm a car guy so i love taking my car out for a long drive, me and car vs the open road. simple, but i love it.

my girlfriend hates it so i rarely get to do it, but when she's away i like to fall asleep with the tv on, usually with a sitcom, something like the office, arrested development, parks and rec etc. it needs to be something i've seen tons of times before so i can close my eyes and still picture what's going on in my mind. not sure why i enjoy it so much. girlfriend needs pitch black and silence to sleep which is nice but i do enjoy drifting off watching / listening to the tv

Like it when you wake up early and can hear the world starting to move again.

Same, think it's alot better at night or super early in the morning when sun is just coming up compared to sitting in blistering summer heat while the sun blinds you and kids next door are screaming their heads off.

This. Once swimming becomes comparatively effortless, it's freeing.

I enjoy running competitively or just running in general.

My morning tea. 'Cause I'm an old grandma. I also enjoy spending time with the family dogs, whether that time is spent walking them, training them or just being a couch potato with them. Although training them probably gives me the most joy.

Going on walks, listening to music and sleeping in. I use to do a lot of painting, but I lost interest in that a while ago.

I like going for walks whether it is outside in the summer or winter, sometimes I'll go by the waterfront, other times downtown streets or just a mall. It is relaxing and lets you slow down your life/mind.

My model trains. I love zoning out while working on a new building, or planning a good place for a passing siding. All the problems seem to go away when I am working on the Black Cherry Railroad.
