I couldn't agree more. I love Simon Pegg, but if it wasn't for Nick Frost, he wouldn't be anything. It's only when the two interact that Simon ever really shines. Fortunately, I read somewhere that they're working on a movie together again, and this time Nick is the lead.
Well Shaun of the Dead was freaking amazing.Guybrush_3This is their only movie I have seen. I liked it a lot. I don't really care what he's doing in other projects (not until I see them anyway).
From that movie though Pegg had a more interesting character. Frosts was just "Oh look at me on the phone, I'm sorry. No. I'm sorry." I only like that character because of the scenario. Pegg's character is funny in general.
But that doesn't reflect their acting skills at all, making my post totally irrelevent.
Spaced (still being the best thing the Pegg crowd has put together) was written by Pegg and Jessica Stevenson. In comedy I don't think we should measure these characters by their acting, because first and foremost is the writing, hence Pegg deserves the praise he receives from a writing stand point. His ventures into acting outside of his own written works have been pretty appalling, but similar can be said of Frost. Man/Woman being a good example.
