Poll Should obama be impeached? (59 votes)
Over the way that ebola is being handled, not closing the borders and letting TB in, foreign policy in general?
Give your reasons why.

Presidents do not get impeached just for doing what is considered a bad job.
He has broken laws and pushed the constitution aside. What else do you need?
@copsareevil: LOL the context of the post isn't what it seems. What I meant to say was maybe he does or doesn't but not for ebola. Meaning i don't got shit for him being impeached, just putting it out there because some may find some reasons for it.
OP you are just a hater. Considering the circumstances the US was mired into the job done by President Obama has been exceptional. He has been one the best POTUS in modern times.

trolling attempt -1/10.
Try harder.

Oh, the irony.
Ebola isn't a disease worth getting worked up over tc. I say this due to the difficulty in contracting the disease.

Tell me what laws he has broken and how he has pushed the constitution aside.
I don't really like the guy, but lets not be ridiculous here.

Does'nt that usually result in a medal or some sort of award in Murica?

Exceptional.....hahahaha. No
Hell, people consider Reagan one of the best presidents in U.S. history and his administration was guilty of High Treason (Iran Contra), supported Saddam Hussein, Bin Laden and the Taliban (Soviet-Afghanistan war), and many suspect the CIA invented and distributed crack cocaine during his presidency.
Compared to other "great" presidents, Obama has practically been a saint.
What's with this mass hysteria over ebola in the US...how many millions of people have died from it this year in the US for people to be this obsessed?

A link to your opening post and the idea of impeachment is the foundation that you need, actually, since that is your argument.

As far as I know, the cause for the focus on Ebola is the amount of deaths which have resulted from infection in African countries recently and its suggested link to the Black Death. That pandemic is believed to have caused the death of thirty to sixty percent of the entire European population.
Looking at your name I assumed alot and no surprise I was right... no logical argument to justify anything
I don't think he has done a good job but impeached no...just no
I'm not trying to take his side but it's never going to happen because the Democrats will never oblige to allow it.
Cops aren't evil. They're brainwashed sociopaths (or at least naive) beyond rehabilitation. A lot more dangerous than ebola or terrorism.
@BranKetra: I am aware but the US is not Africa and we're not in the 14th century anymore.
If there is no potential for similar infections and results in U.S.A. as what is transpiring in Africa and what occurred in Europe during the Middle Ages, covering it for those reasons is misguided.
There is also the possibility of publicizing the situation in America for a humanitarian response in Africa as over thirty thousand have been infected with the Ebola virus already and over four thousand have died as a result of that. The modern U.S.A. is a world power with great international influence. It is becoming expected that America leads coalitions to stop crises in other nations.
There's a scene in The West Wing where one of the Supreme Court Justices says to President Bartlet, "I wanted a Democrat, and instead I got you."
That statement pretty much sums up my opinions toward President Obama. I think he backed down in the face of a stagnant Republican Congress and failed to make real headway on a multitude of critical issues. By that token, he is one of my least favorite Democratic Presidents in recent history.
That being said, the posturing by conservative nut-jobs aimed to impeach Obama has been simply that: posturing. Obama has done nothing that legitimately warrants impeachment, and anyone who says otherwise is deluding themselves with paranoid rhetoric and conspiracy theorist nonsense.
That isn't to say that Obama is without reproach; like I stated earlier, he has overwhelmingly disappointed as an exacter of "change". But reasonably speaking, the worst thing you can accuse him of is sticking almost entirely to the Washington status quo. Under Obama, the U.S. government has been business as usual, problems and all.
@BranKetra: Nowhere did I say it should be "covered", I just don't understand the whole "We're all going to die!!!" panic...comparing the hygienic conditions and quality of live of some parts of Africa and the US seems ridiculous at best. Yes, I think people should be aware of the risks but people are acting like the zombie apocalypse is coming =P
Also, I think that the majority of people who are expecting the US to swoop in and save the day in every situation are Americans. They don't their country involved but they like to think everybody else does.

How so?
@softwaregeek: The Affordable Care Act changes he made and did not have the authorization to make them.
such as?

I did not say you did. I was just expressing the possibilities of why Americans are responding to the few infected with Ebola seriously, though I have not heard anyone saying it means doom for many people here. It is just the potential for it that is alarming.
That last part is news to me.
@BranKetra: I do believe most sensible people are aware but calm, but there are quite a few people who are really convinced there will be an ebola outbreak in the US. There was actually a thread about it in OT last week or so and some people were stating that it's their belief that it will DEFINITELY happen...
@korvus: There are those who believe that the worst possible scenarios are the most likely to occur without substantial evidence. That is an unfortunate normalcy of humanity. However, at least now, that is not what the majority thinks. A few years ago, the 2012 scare was rampant and before that, there was the Y2K virus. Besides those, religious doomsdays are still expected by many. Living each day constantly expecting something terrible to happen is not a healthy way to live.
It is good to hope for the best and prepare for the worst, but there are some that do not prepare and just expect the worst. That type of behavior is not something I enjoy to be around.
@korvus:
I told a person on my Facebook the likelihood of catching Ebola which is low due it not being airborne as well as the relatively easy list of suggestions the cdc recommends to avoid it.
She told me that it could go airborne and immediately unfriended me.

Haven't heard about either of those. What were they about?
@Serraph105: You are obviously already contaminated and were trying to mislead her so that you could infect her as well. Unfriending you was the smart thing to do...with so many things that you can catch from social media, one has to be safe =P

The Y2K "virus" was not really a virus; It was a bug that was related to the the data memory and dating projected to be disastrous for computers and computer networks. In the past, computer memory was very expensive, so it was carefully used. A way memory was saved from usage was by using a YY format for year instead of YYYY. Bigger computers saved hard drive space by often loading older data that was not currently needed onto tape and the data was then erased. Mainframe computers are often designed with this sequential function. The reason the new millennium was an issue for computers had to do with those two digit long dates. If they had stayed that long, the year 2000 would have been thought as the year 1900 and a computer would do that data management sequence I described without prompting the user.
The solution was someone went into each of the programs computers used, altered the date field length from two to four characters followed by editing all the data at the time to register "1999" rather than "99." Macs did not have that issue because Apple computers have a history of great amounts of memory. Many believed it would result in widespread chaos to the point that years were expected to be the likely timeframe the recovery of civilization needed for unmanageable instability to pass. Some quit their occupations, stockpiled supplies, and prepared for the worst. Eventually, people realized everything, for the most part, was okay. One individual stayed in his bunker until last year. It was a real issue, but its potential was worsened by yellow journalism.
The 2012 event was a variety of theories. Some scientific and historical, and others pseudo science or conspiracy theories.
Here is a History Channel video about it:
