A Kentucky homeless shelter said that it has banned all women and children in an effort to stop them from having sex with male residents.

Emergency Christian Ministries Director Billy Woodward told WYMT that he had to put a stop to the “sex problem.”

“They may want to meet or slip in a room occasionally, we can’t have that,” Woodward explained. “It seems like these last days it’s getting worse … the ungodly type.”

“They say, ‘We’re homeless, maybe we can find somebody, a mate or something,'” he continued. “If they done it right, it would be fine. But, you know, they go overboard with it.”

Emergency Christian Ministries forced up to a dozen women to leave, according to WYMT. It was not immediately clear if the women had been able to relocate because Emergency Christian Ministries is the only shelter for the homeless in Williamsburg.

Source.

Those temptresses corrupting the all those pure men, :( .

And it was in Kentucky....just awesome. Did they have problems with pregnancy or stds? If not what was the problem? And why exactly were the women to blame? Surely both parties involved mutually agreed on having sex.

Well, I understand why they would want to put a stop to it, but kicking homeless people from a homeless shelter sounds so fucking perverse.

The two homeless shelters (halfway houses) I stayed in had women. The first one I was in there was no problem. The second one had this crazy lady who said I should marry her and have sex with her and I was stealing her money and all this BS. She was so insane, and WAY older than me like a grandma or something.

@thegerg: to me it's more about kicking out the women and children (maybe chivalry really is dead) without making sure that they had a place to go beforehand.

@jdiggle: I don't like the fact that it's Kentucky for a few reasons. First off it's a heavily Christian Conservative state, and kicking out women and children for reasons of "too much sex" is a really old school Christian thing to do that I don't consider to be Christian like at all. The other reason that I really don't like it is that I live in Indiana so this makes it feel all the closer to home and I don't like my home or the surrounding areas to be associated with such stories of unloving and hypocritical actions.

Stupid reason aside, why kick the kids out too?

I mean, thinking like a crazy person, i understand getting the women out to stop the sex, but the kids?

"Woodward insisted that the decision had been made based on teachings in the Bible......"

Well, that confirms that there was no rational motive and any good arguments were'nt it.

Yeah that gave me a pause for a second there too. I think it's simply a badly worded sentence rather than implying the children were also having sex because that would be a bigger problem than the women tempting the men.

Seriously, their logic was already flawed but that just seemed terrible. Seems to me maybe some kids were sexually abused so by association it's a victim blaming culture.

What's the alternative? Kick out the males? If we can assume that vast majority of people who visit the shelters are male then that would make any practical sense. I'm sure they've tried to simply punishing the offenders once they are caught, but obviously that won't prevent or discourage any individual from doing it.

Yeah, just like all those women only shelters. Just awful.

There's a difference between having "women only" and having "women were okay but now we are kicking them out and children because the Bible says sex is bad", but alas you are too much of an idiot to see that.
