So for all the horror movie fans out there, which one terrified you the most if any?

Mine would have to be Poltergeist

The DescentX360PS3AMD05

So much this ^^

For this scene alone. To hell with the rest of it. I spazzed out before it even got bad.

Leviathan '89. I was 10 at the time. I haven't watched it since then, but I would assume that it's nowhere near as terrifying as I thought.

I'm sure there are other movies that scared the crap out of me when I was younger but have to agree. Insidious had me scared for days afterwards.

Don't laugh...

The Ring.

It was the first horror film I ever watched alone. I seriously couldn't stop staring at my TV throughout the entire night the following week after seeing it.

Favorite horror movies: The Exorcist, Alien. The Thing scared the sh!t of me when I was a kid. I recently saw this wonderful independent film called House of the Devil. It's made in the style of 70s horror films.

Yeah I had to go on the net to get some thoughts on the plot some made certain aspects a bit clearer good film low, came out of left field.

For me I'd have to go off seeing IT when I was 10, Pennywise scared the crap out of me back then. I also saw the original Night of the living dead at that age and part with the Coopers daughter and the trowel creeped me out plus the whole tone of the film.

I don't watch an awful lot of 'scary/horror movies' (not really more forte) but from what I have watched, this is really the only scene that's scared me. I nearly pooed myself the first time I saw it. Even re-watching it, it still freaks me out.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake with Jessica Biel kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. That's was an amazingly tense and effective movie.

Though I'd class it as more disturbing than outright scary, I'd say Sinister.

let me guess, the clown scene really got to you, huh? I think this film was the reason why so many people grew up with coulrophobia.

Really? There comedy movies. Drag Me To Hell being a horror comedy. But Drag Me to Hell was decent. Insidious was poor. I say REC 1 and 2.

I love Pennywise.

My sister though is terrified of clowns (she literally can't stand the sight of them), so it's always amusing when watching something like this.

I'd say the first Alien is probably the scariest. It's not the most disturbing or frightening but the suspense and the fear is unbeatable in my opinion.
