why do people vote for him on american idol?

If he wins,no one will audition for american idol cuz its pointless.

There really aren't enough Indians in America that can keep getting him through... I mean they'd have to be really pressed about him winning and vote multiple times for him to keep winning on just the vote of Indian Americans alone. The vast majority of the people voting for him are not his "people." Isn't the kid half white anyways? lol

Because society, in general, is moronic. Why are people, like Melinda Doolittle, that have street team and a recording deal already in place, allowed to compete on this show? The show is terrible to begin with, now it's unfair. The whole show is a waste........I wish my girlfriend wasn't addicted to it.

Well I heard the show will get cancled if he wins so even though I've never watched the show or cared about it... I now love Sanjaya and vote for him every chance I get.
