Roll Call: Summertime Sweet Pool Party Edition

Thanks to the_foreign_guy for the suggestion of thread theme. (Amusing idea of trying to ban Allicrombie for a day, but that's like trying to absorb the ocean with a kitchen sponge--some things are beyond the control of mortal men.)

There's about two weeks left of summer before school starts up again for most people, and before the weather starts turning cold and crappy, (Unless you live in Hawaii, that is. HA, HA!) So, before that happens, take the time and relax, chill out. And to kick the discussion off, I was wondering if everyone has had a chance to do everything they wanted to do this summer, and if not, well....you better hurry up. Labor Day's not that far off.

In any case, this summer I got married, went to Rome and started playing basketball. Not too shabby, I suppose ^_^

Also, labour day here was May 1st, which just so happens to be the day I got married =P

Congrats on getting married! Going to Rome isn't too shabby either.

My summer has me pretty busy, most of it is from work. Stated a new job back in April and the hours are long. But it's steady pay, and it's a lot better than where I was last year at this time--unemployed and depressed.

On the plus side, I did drop about 10 lbs. and my younger brother bought me a PS4, so I'm not complaining. Just wish I had more time to play it though.

Congrats, what games you got for PS 4? I'm pretty interested to upgrade to PS 4 but next year perhaps, Bloodborne , The Order 1886 looking uber awesome on PS 4 :)

Hey, times are tough! Getting a pool ain't cheap, and I don't see anyone volunteering to kick in with anything. I got the pool--be happy it wasn't a garden hose and a Slip N' Slide.

Only a handful--Watch_Dogs (which was a major disappointment), Need for Speed Rivals and Wolfenstein: The New Order, which is fun--and I'm not a big fan of shooters. Might get Diablo 3 next week.

Indzman, PS 4 worth it, even now. I enjoy Playstation demos, games. I too do have Watch dogs - its not so bad. Also downloaded some demos to play. It has playstation live - where you can see what others are playing, and join them if you have the game. Even if you don't feel like playing at the moment, you can watch them play and go through it. Pretty cool i have to say. Also playstation now is on Beta, you can rent ps3 games. Its worth it even now.

It definitely seems like this year has gone by way too quickly. I'm almost done with physical therapy for my shoulder so I should be going back to patrolling soon. I've been working in the dispatch office and it's been mind numbingly boring.

I also finished a lot of the books I've been meaning to. Since my shoulder has been hurt I couldn't do any work for my side business. And I've been playing so many video games that I'm actually kind of bored of them.

I'm trying to decide if I want to take more classes or do something else with the remainder of my GI Bill. I finally got my associates so I need to figure out what else I want to do with it.

Has anyone watched the expendables 3 yet? Movie and action wise is it better than last two ?

Roll Call is pretty much anything goes, if the focus is on games so be it. Hell any conversation that doesn't break the rules is welcomed these days if it gets things moving again :P
