RIP Roger Moore. :(

I'll be in the minority for saying this, but I think he was the best Bond....and his first, Live and Let Die, was my fav Bond movie. It's a shame he was put in a lot of weaker Bond movies, not his fault.
More than any other Bond, he was the handsome, charming, intelligent, and witty Bond I imagine.
First I wake to news of a terrorist attack and now one of the best bonds has passed away, what a shitty day.

I don't think so; he was by far the most entertaining, did the most (?) movies, and was a capable enough actor. I think a lot of people would favor Moore. That's not to say Connery can't be respected for being great as well, or others for being good too, but Moore is my personal favorite, too. The worst you can say about some of the Roger Moore films is that they get a little kitsch, a little corny, but that's about it; and you can almost appreciate it for that aspect.
Sean Connery might have been the original, but I don't think his movies were really as entertaining as Moore's. When Moore came in, that's when the films really took off imo.
Daniel Craig might rival Roger Moore, but Craig has a stinker or two and iirc Craig is also done with Bond films (right?) so yeah, I think I might have to say Moore is my favorite.
Shit now I'm just thinking back on his catalog of Bond films...
Moonraker, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Man With The Golden Gun (Roger Moore and Christopher Lee, god what a combination! And that little person!), Octopussy. Roger Moore was just fun to watch the whole time, beating up on people, getting into trouble then getting out of it, saving the world, etc.
Sean Connery had Goldfinger and Thunderball, but I'd argue those were masterpieces because of the villains and the plot, not solely because of Connery.
@mrbojangles25:
I thought "Live and Let Die" and "The Spy who Loved Me" were his 2 best Bond movies.....but he made the other ones better.
Do you live in the US? Not sure if they do it any more, but there is a channel called TNT and once or twice a year they'd do a "Bond Marathon" for a week or so and it was so awesome, I remember looking forward to that when I was a kid. My dad and I would watch all those bond films all week.
Oh please, I guess I'm sorry that he died, but get out of here with him being the best Bond. He made a lot of shit Bond movies and his run toward the end was shameful, to say he stayed too long is a gross understatement.
The Spy Who Loved Me was shit. Moonraker was shit. For Your Eyes Only was shit. A View to a Kill was shit.
Someone had to say it.

Moonraker was awesome, I hope you get banned.
@Master_Live:
I think he was the best Bond, they gave him crap Bond movies to work with, but to me he was James Bond......it wasn't his fault he was in his 50's with the last couple movies, and he was showing his age. I love Sean Connery but he generally had better movies to work with.
And I disagree, The Spy who Loved Me was great, so was Live and Let Die. Even The Man with the Golden Gun was decent.
I do agree with Moonraker and his last movies, not necessarily his fault. Yes, you had to say it (apparently) but it doesn't mean you are right.
