Man, this sucks...my wife is definitely going to be upset at this news...she quite liked the guy. RIP Nimoy. He'll be remembered for a long time, so, in a way, he's still living long and prosper.
I don't know why i thought this dude would never die ? I thought at some point in my life i would meet him at a convention or something. Dang, so sudden, so soon. I'm going to watch a Star Trek movie tonight when i get home. What a bumber. Live long, and prosper. R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy !
I'm sad to hear this, but at 83 it's not like he had a short life. Kelly was 79 when he died and Doohan was 85. I think I'll be pretty happy with my life if I manage to reach ripe old ages like that.
Still, I went upstairs to tell my wife this in person before she read it online.

This was my demeanor for the rest of the day as soon as I found out. I am legitimately saddened by his passing, despite expecting it as soon as it was announced he was sent to hospital.
He was a fairly important fictional role model (as Spock) in my childhood. I will honour his memory by watching some Star Trek TOS.
Still can't believe it.
Dude, you probably didn't even know who he was.
But no...I am still just really sad.

I'm actually brothers with the dude.
I was really betting that the gods would take Shatner first. Oh well.

Shatner is in surprisingly good health, he's in considerably better health then Nimoy was.

Life truly isn't far when he still walks while Nimoy and Kelley are gone :(

Shatner's age is coming up to him but he still looks quite amazing for his age. Shatner spent his life being more conscious about his health and it paid off. But Nimoy was infinitely more cool and genuine. I was hoping that would've counted for something.

Isn't he still making those travel agency or hotel room booking commercials?

As far as work outside ads go he made a documentary in 2013 called " The Captains" that (unsurprisingly) features all the Captains from Star Trek, it's rubbish and only worth watching for Avery Brooks - who is fucking insane.
The Thomson ad was pretty good. His weird singing seems to fit it well.
Here we go again. The WBC freaks are gonna picket Nimoy's funeral and claim that "Mr. Spock's" "Live Long and Prosper" hand sign symbolized opening the gates of hell. These Westboro Baptist idiots don't even know that Nimoy was a Hebrew who served God until the end of his life, that the funeral would actually be a Jewish funeral, and that the hand sign actually symbolized the Hebrew letter Shin! The idiots!
Story
Through an era of television that actually tried to make a reality that you could get lost in, instead of reality shows or live audience sitcoms, I gotta admit that his death hit me rather hard. His character, through several of the different series of the Star Trek universe and movies, never lost it's flare or felt out of place. Actually makes me feel guilty for not knowing more of the man behind the vulcan.
