Requiem for a Dream

Has anyone here seen this movie? If so what'd you think of it? I thought it was shot in a really cool way. It was very depressing though. It's better when your not sober.. kind of on the same wavelength as the movie is I guess.

The soundtrack is also great BTW..

I thought the ending was ludicrous. It was enjoyable to watch Jennifer Connely throughout though, I could watch her forever.Rekunta

It's one of the few movies that made me cry... That person who played the mom had such a powerful performance in that film. freakyzeeky1986

I agree. It had a really powerful narrative that really brought you done into the minds of all the characters. It's quite tragic, but it was done so well.

Darren Aronofsky is a great director. But "The Fountain" is by his best film. It's quite amazing, with beautiful visuals. You should see it if you haven't.

Quite possibly the most depressing movie I have ever seen.

And Ellen Burstyn...she deserved an Oscar for her performance.

I think Layer Cake and Trainspotting are even better. Fear and Loathing is good though.
