I read in an issue of the Nintendo magazine that the company who made the E.T game had buried all of the remaining copies in a desert somewhere. Then NES had saved gaming from just being a trend and some other biased crap like that.tao_bromley

E.T. for the Atari 2600 is deemed to be one of the worst games ever made. During the holidays when it was released, over 2 million copies were sold. After Christmas, over 50% were returned. So, the company ended up shipping all of the returned or unreleased games to the New Mexico land fill to be dumped there.
