I suggest you get into Metal/Rock. What in particular don't you like about those genres?

like rap? kanye west and lupe fiasco anyways, get into rock/metal.. so much great music within those two genres.. youre missing out, bud ;) papa roach are amazing. they have something for everyone, though its mostly rock (not anything even close to metal) very catchy and feel-good stuff, though also emotional anxiety/heartbreak stuff. like i said, something for everyone :D

Believe it or not, but there are people that listened to plenty of Rock / Metal and just don't enjoy it much. I'm one of them, liked it when I was younger but just grew out of it.

Anyway, Aphex Twin is still the best damn thing that I know in the electronic genre and definitely a good place to start if you want to get deeper into it. Keep in mind though, some of his stuff can be quite hard to get into. Also, the music he has made spans a lot of different electronic styles, from straight up Acid to quite a bit of experimental stuff.

Jazz! Everyone loves Jazz! But if you want something slightly electronic, I recommend M.I.A.

The new Prodigy album is awesome, by the way.. Try these. Aphex Twin U.N.K.L.E. William Orbit The Whip Sneaker Pimps Massive Attack That's some good trip-hop, electronica. Very much like TCM and The Prodigy.

If you like The Prodigy's new album, you'll definitely like Pendulum, try "Propane Nightmares."

Go for Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, The Cure... you'll probably like some of their songs.

Talking about songs.....mhh.........If you're up for electronic music, try Paul Van Dyk's Politics of Dancing 1 and 2. Excelente albums. All tracks are 100% top notch. :)

Nine Inch Nails?
Bon Iver is a good Folk guy/band

What about lighter pop/rock bands like "The Servant"
Or pop-punk bands like Blink-182? One of their singers made a band Angels & Airwaves with other influences like New-wave (?)

Try Dinosaur Jr I guess they're some sort of rock, but a lot of their songs have "noise" in them, or sound a little 'distant'

If anyone reads my posts, yeah, I know I always recommend the same bands.

Faber_Fighter

Crystal Castles I'd recommend this album. It's the debut album by Crystal Castles and (in my opinion) it's absolutely fantastic.
