I was hoping OT could recommend me a good movie for tonight. I like all genres and prefer story over action.

Norbit. The story runs deep, and is pretty intense. I couldn't sit through more than 10 minutes.

there is a good movie with bruce willis called "unbreakable" i saw about two days ago, it was really good, great story and some action, but not too much. with a great ending.

-August Rush
-Armageddon(once again bruce willis, anyone who hasn't seen this movie hasn't seen perfect movies)
-hot fuzz(pretty funny, good storyline [suprised me i thought it looked terrible before i saw it] cool scequences and more than enough action.)

I'm going to go ahead and be the umpteenth person torecommendV For Vendetta. Fight Club is always a wise choice and you can never, ever go wrong with a zombie movie, because even if it is stupid, it is still entertaining. Unless of course you choose Zombie 4 or 5 which has a combined total of maybe three zombies and ruined a good series.

About Schmidt is an awesome understatement of "subtle" humor. If you have the intellect, you will love it's subtleties.

1) Shichinin no samurai (Amazing movie, i loved the plot)

2)Akira (It's the anime movie that basically started the popularity of animes in the West)

3)Metropolis (The anime one) I don't know about other people's personal tastes but i found this one both brooding and thought-provoking really fantastic film

Will try a couple you may not have heard of:

Memento
LA Confidential (Yes I am a Guy Pearce fan).
Dead Man's Shoes
Frailty

Otherwise, some of my fav's that I'd recommend are Scarface, Platoon, The Crow and Santa With Muscles... jokes...

I have to agree with Fight Club, one of my favorite movies.

Troy and Gladiator are good movies too, but to add to that list, Braveheart is another great movie, although it is a bit long.
