Yeah I do not recall any such thing and in fact it seems to me that San Andreas is generally considered the best GTA to date.

People were complaining about having to play a black character

Then why does the casting department feel the need to shoe-horn a black guy into a white man's role? They couldn't find a white guy to portray a white guy? Or did they think that casting a black man would capture all the brothers and the black demographic?

I found CJ to be the best character, strangely enough, CJ was the most relateableGTA character for me despite him being a black gang banger and me being a white suburban guy.

"capture all the brothers..." I don't know what that means... In any case, it's not affirmative action. Affirmative Action is a government policy.

OK just because you say it does not mean it happened.

I do not remember people whining about it and quite frankly you just saying it happened isn't exactly enough to convince me....

Affirmative action actually refers to any instance of encouraging an increase of representation of women and minority-group members, especially in employment.

Contrary to what you might believe, the concept of affirmative action exists outside of a federal policy.

I don't think Johnny Storm should be black just like I don't think a white guy should play the Black Panther, John Stewart, Cyborg, or Blade.

[QUOTE="PannicAtack"]It was the other way around. It was people being surprised at them casting dark-skinned actors... for characters described in the book as being "olive-skinned."

Wait, what?

PannicAtack

"olive-skinned" usually refers to very tan Mediterraneans, like Greeks or Sicilians.  iirc the olive skinned folks were the agriculture district, so they were outside a lot, and thus very tan.

but uhhhh, yeah...they were from the ag district.  WHich I guess was from the area know as Atlanta, Georgia? Or washington, DC? lol

Either way, in the film it was a very blatant parallel to American agricultural slavery.

lol what? is that what people gathered from it?

Jesus Christ, get over it.  Time to move on.  We learn from our history, sure, but all wounds need to heal eventually.  ****.

Tthis article reads like it was written by a 25 year old manchild who is black. Herp derp comicbook fans are racists because they want the film to stick to the source material. Would comic book fans be sexist now in the next major Batman movie if the Joker was played by a woman, and then complain about it?

I don't think the majority of those argument are inherently racist-- espeically since comic book nerds are generally real c*nty when it comes to trivial inaccuracies of any sort.

The bigger outrage should be on the fact that this film will most likely suck

People aren't ready for change, it doesn't make them racists. They may not think that one race is greater than another.

My question is why are they always changing a character from White to Black? Why not White to hispanic, or a male character cast as a female?
