I know ImageShack is the site Gamespot users usually go to upload files. My question is, is this a safe site? Is it virus/adware/spyware free?

Just wanted to make sure before I upload anything.

Also how about PhotoBucket?

Thanks.

I thought more people used PhotoBucket, I know I do. Hm, you should make a poll. But to answer you question, yea they're safe. (Or at least PhotoBucket is, I haven't really tried ImageShack.)

I feel they are both quite credible sites to upload and share images.

Also if you wish everything you upload to be private besides what you post, then make sure to adjust account settings, and change albums to private. ;) Too many users have failed to acknowledge that and suffered the consequences.

I can't really see anyway for you to get a virus from them. Well, I guess if you're running IE, not running any anti-virus, and stumble across an infected video file... (assuming they don't run anti-virus on server end)

I use Photobucket for images I'll want to share over and over, and Imageshack for images that I will only show once. Both are safe.
