Like the title says. Post your local music. A song specific to your country city or town etc.

This is the song I used to hear a lot when I was a kid. Well, I grew fast. Something reminded me of this song and I'm back listening to it again.

I'm from Liverpool, I don't like any of our music that has been produced from this town. Down the road there is an awesome Metal based in Wigan(from St Helens I think) called Hospital Of Death

These guys never made it big, and have more or less stopped playing for now due family commitments. Their music sounds like it belongs in the 80s with other great metal and thrash metal bands.

The DS Project in West Virginia. They made some great instrumentals - especially Revolver(12th track in this vid).

They don't exist anymore and their last album, New Disguise, is stuck in development limbo. I've heard all the unreleased stuff, but I don't think it's ever going to see the light of day.

Goldie Lookin Chain are probably one of the most well known groups to come from Gwent, at least the only one I can think of. They're a parody rap group that have made several songs about Newport (the city they're from) like this one. Here is one of my favourite songs by them:

I have a lot of metal to post. I will start out with a recent release by Cold Colours.

Brian Huebner aka Wuss King is the guy who formed the local band Cold Colours and is the vocalist in another local project Vorpal Bunny.

Oak Pantheon (like Agalloch)

This is my favourite local band Obsequiae

There also a guy around here named Joe Waller who is involved in multiple local bands such as the one below and Adora Vivos.

House of Atreus (like Arghoslent without the racism)

Being from the Metro Detroit area there is a pretty huge local music scene. Some of the better local bands I have seen are (and I am not going to list the billions of huge artists to come from Detroit):

Oh and I have to post these guys because they aren't just from the general area, but the exact same small-ass town that I grew up in and currently live in!

I come from a pretty averaged sized town in North Carolina and we don't have that large of a music scene outside of metal. Weedeater, He is Ledgend, Sourvein, The Love Language (now in Raleigh), The Rosebuds are some of the bigger bands to come from the area.

I play in a local band myself called Free Clinic. If anyone is interested we have a bunch of free tunes up on - freeclinic.bandcamp.com
