I have a 3.7 but it right go down a little bit. I got really distracted this semester with work and other things so I got a "c" in my English class (I never get that low of a grade in English)
If you have no talents or skills that might help you land a job you might want to start studying and plan on going to college... Unless you want to work in retail or fast food restaurants. Also, the band thing isn't very easy just so you know. Most bands don't make a living from their music. Anyway, I think my GPA in high school was like a somewhere in between 2 and 2.5, not sure.
Anyway, I dropped out of college.. BUT I'm very good with computers. I know html and some php. I know how to run a web server. I can create websites which includes designing professional web layouts. Let's not forget that I write music, I'm no music god or anything but the music I write is better than most of what you will hear on the radio lol. As for my computer hardware skills I know some pretty basic stuff. I can replace CPU pins and capacitors, I can obviously assemble/reassemble a desktop or laptop (slightly more complicated process). Yeah and recently I've started reading upon on C++... We'll see how that goes.
My grades are abysmal right now. My high school uses the block system, so we only have to have 3 classes at a time if we so choose, and my grades are still terrible.
I have an F in ceramics which simply isn't going to go up, as I'm pretty positive by now that being terrible at forming things with clay is in my genes... no matter what I do, I can't make clay into art.
I have an F in English as well which will be a C by terms end. The only reason my English grade is an F is due to a standard I didn't turn in. Missing a standard results in an automatic F until turned in.
Then I have a B in History, which I genuinely enjoy and am fairly adept in.
4.0 out of 4.125 max. So I'd say that's pretty good. (Got a B in Algebra II. Math is... not my thing.)
Why don't you quote these numbers in percentage form, for those couple of people out there that don't live in the US.F1_2004I thought that 4.00 was pretty much standard except for the rare exception though I'm probably mistaken..

Not that I know of. What's the significance of 4.0? And how come people are listing scores higher than 4.0?
Why don't you quote these numbers in percentage form, for those couple of people out there that don't live in the US.F1_2004Just divide the number by 4 to get the percentage, assuming they don't post a ridiculous weighted GPA.
Back in high school: 3.43
In college (currently): 3.9 out of 4.0
8-)
To those who don't live in the US: GPA can only go up to 4 points. Anything over that is probably a score from a weighted scale system. A 4.0 in college is basically amazing (Summa Cum-laude, I believe).

And how come people are listing scores higher than 4.0? haha unweighted is the standard out of 4.00 Many schools like mine have honors or AP level courses which are harder so schools will give have a nonstandard GPA that incorporates these harder courses so students taking these courses receive more credit. Wow sorry that explanation sucked..

And how come people are listing scores higher than 4.0? 4.0 = A, 3.0 = B, 2.0 = C, 1.0 = D, 0 = F People are posted numbers higher than 4 because they are posting a weighted GPA, where their high school gives extra points for honors, AP classes.
too many smart people in here.. I regrettably messed around freshman and sophomore, and part of junior year so my GPA is only 2.6. I got accepted to the college of my choice so no big dealFrenzyd109HeII yeah! We're both stupid! Lmao :p There's way too many smart people on here...which isn't much of a surprise lol.
4.03 weighted in high school. I don't know about unweighted and I don't care cause colleges only saw the weighted average. Or should I say college (I only applied to one school ... I got in by November of senior year and never applied anywhere else). :P
