Porn. A very controversial topic with many opinions. Some people love it and some people don't. One thing I can say with 99% certainty is that all of you have viewed pornography in one way/shape or form in your life.

There are people who say they watch porn with their girlfriends because it helps them feel more intimate and some friends who say they would rather bang the pornstar than their girlfriends which leads to them being more distant from them.

I don't think porn helps at all because it gives you an unrealistic expectation of sex and puts too much pressure on your wife/girlfriend.

What do you think OT? Porn yay or nay and why?

It all depends how both parties feel about it. If you watch it with your girlfriend/boyfriend and have a realistic expectation on what sex is then I can see it helping. They might use it to get each other in the mood or using it try different positions etc. The problem comes when one party starts to get an unrealistic view of sex through porn. as you guys have said, it may lead to a drop in libido for sex in real life with your partner or the expectation is extremely high expecting the partner to be like a pornstar.

Pornography is depraved shit that ought to be completely abolished. I'm glad I did away with it few months ago.

Because it's depraved and demoralizing shit. I know most people wouldn't really take this seriously, but there's virtue in the body just as there's virtue in the soul and the two are conducive to one another.

@elkoldo Why would this thread be closed when I am asking a genuine question?

@thehig1 If you are engaging in sexual intercourse everyday, why do you feel the need to masturbate aswell? Doesn't that hurt in the end lol:P

@deeliman I hope you get a girlfriend/wife soon but that made me lol hahaha

Helping, in my case. I view porn as a monogamous man's means of being with other women, without cheating. It satisfies, for the most part, my biological urge to hump everything within a 5 meter radius.

The first one I can understand....get the easy one out before the actual performance, but the "after" part seems unnecessarily excessive.

@bforrester420: what can I say, I get horney after sex. Not immediately after, but after an hour or so I do.

We either have sex again, or if she's not in the mood ill masterbate.

I took it to mean right after sex (like within 10 or 15 minutes). You must be in your early 20s, because that drive fades as you get older or you've been with the same person for a long time.

well , its a truth that Porn helps you have better sexual relationships in the future right ? You'll learn how lick uh ... some part of a girl's body , or find the G spot , or she'll learn to give you a great blowjob . and some couples watch porn before having sex because it turns them on . once someone said : wow , that was great , where did you learn that pose ?

how do you think i learned it while i never had sex before that ? ;)

Obviously, she doesn't feel threatened by 2D women prostituting themselves for money; women whom you'll never get to **** too. Your wife is pretty rational I'd say.

Well, for a while after we got married, my ex-fiancee (the one before my wife) kept sending me cards on my birthday and holidays. The wife didn't like it one bit (finally stopped after my ex-fiancee got married). That was a far more serious matter to my wife than my porn stash.

It probably helps most relationships. If you watch porn alone the other person probably knows it and it probably causes them some degree of insecurity. If you watch porn together you get rid of that insecurity and you start to get a better idea of what arouses them and what doesn't. The only other option is that you never watch porn, which means you're either getting lucky on a very regular basis and chances are that one of you isn't into it at least half the time or you're simply not getting off at all between sexual encounters, in which case I'd say you're probably sexually repressed.

My wife and I have a really healthy sex life (both of us getting off a lot basically) despite having been together for nearly a decade and I don't watch porn. I don't think it would help really, and it's unneeded, so why watch it? I have a friend who actually gradually lost interest in his girlfriend and split with her in large part due to unreal amounts of porn viewing destroying his libido and any realistic expectations for what sex should be like.

Now, as a teenager, I definitely watched my fair share. That's a different story though.

@Netret0120: Well, I was never hugely into pornography in the first place so when I say I watched my fair share you may be imagining a much more extreme scenario than the reality of things.

I'm not in a relationship (no duh!) and I'm addicted to hardcore porn. I've got over 600 GBs of it on my computer, my collection including over four hundred actresses and over five hundred full length videos. I don't know whether I should be ashamed or not.

My girlfriend and I have been together for over 5 years, have watched porn separately since the beginning of our relationship, and have a healthy sex life.

Odd that we've never combined the porn and sex though.

If you're so inclined, you can do a google search and read about what the porn industry is really like, but more or less, those happy, eager female performers are the farthest thing from eager and happy, and something more to the tune of a rape victim. It's some pretty dark shit.
