May I say that I sense some bitterness and a pinch of disappointment in this post and all yours posts about the OTcars? It saddens you that you didn't have the chance to participate in one during the heyday of OT :P

I'm not sure bitter is the right word, but I am a bit disappointed yes. I am kind of curious how you arrived at that conclusion from my posts in this thread, as I don't think I was that negative.

Though it is to be expected that you'd be disappointed. You have no idea how active this place was in the past. Shame. We're all disappointed anyway.

How many active posters would you say there were in the heydays of OT?

I can't quantitatively answer that but they were so many that you couldn't keep track of their usernames. Also if a new topic was made and it didn't receive many posts at its creation to would sink right away to back pages. Discussions and replies were so intense that it was overwhelming to try and keep up with them, not to mention the caliber and quality of posts and posters.

I don't know I'd like it that much, I prefer to know the active users. Anyways, still better than what OT's nowadays, with barely any activity.

Also usually the nomination thread is used for nominations only and discussion is in a separate thread so talliers don't have to slog through so much stuff. So it would probably be best to link this thread for discussion and suggestions

About that, do you still need talliers?

It would probably also be nice if a mod could sticky the otcars thread

Thought about that but I think keeping the thread "floating" is better since some people never look at the stickies, I know I don't. But if Gerg or Dave ask for it I can do it.
