Howdy y'all

What are you up to today?

I've done the usual chores and had a short work out session. The evening will consist of a few beers with friends.

@mrbojangles25 Another week has passed :P

Slept in a bit (insomnia again), did my Saturday chores (got another round tomorrow), played a little Age of Wonders: Planetfall and Total War: Warhammer II. Currently listening to a couple of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare review videos while I wait to see how Arsenal are going to f*** up next. Just 50 minutes to go.

You know, the usual.

Working as usual. Thinking of hitting up Coldstone Creamery after work. I just wish they weren't so damned expensive, though....

Coldstone Creamery? That sounds like a place that either serves beers or is a bakery. So what is it? :P

I would if they were closer. Coldstone is literally down the street. The closest Baskins is at least 15 minutes from me.

It's an ice cream parlor that makes pretty good ice cream, but their schtick is "mix-ins". Instead of just putting toppings like M&Ms or peanut butter cups, they mix it right into the ice cream they scoop out using specialized scoops on a frozen marble slab. Then they scoop it up and serve it to you.

Something like that needs to come here. That sounds delicious.

United are only 4 points behind; Arsenal are not doing that much better. They're slumming it with Newcastle and Burnley while freaking Leicester - 6 points ahead - get to duke it out with Chelsea and City. They've come a long way since the Invincibles days - downwards.

I'm not on the Emery Out train just yet, but he's starting to look more and more like Wenger 2.0 by the day.

It's just one win and one loss away from them breathing down Arsenal's necks, so no, it's not a big gap.

Which is a distinct possibility right now. They're currently barely hanging on against Leicester. Freaking Leicester.

And Leicester just scored. About time.

I wish. I could then dismiss it as a fluke. Leicester have just been better. Simple as that.

Edit: 2-0. Yup. Exactly what they deserve. Both of them.

Not good for me today's Saturday. I have a bad fever since yesterday and I'm staying in my room all day. I will say the drugs I'm taking is helping and eating chicken soup does help out a bit with my sore throat. But I'm still going to play my games but for the most parts, playing my Switch while in bed does help and gaming is well, part of my life passion ;)

Still sick🤒

@horgen: Thanks :)

Though I'm still able to game but still makes me a little weaker to do anything outside of bed due to chills I have. Just need to take more medicine and I'll be back in action soon. I'm hoping to go to work this Monday.

Well it's kind of cold outside so I'm mostly hanging out binging The Office before it leaves Netflix.

@LJS9502_basic: We had the first snowfall in the city on Friday... Doubt it will last though. Usually the first snow fall is followed by a few warmer days so it melts, then it gets colder again and it freezes over.

Watched a old episode of the Outer Limits from 1995 called the conversation seen it before but I like the Christmas setting. I know this sounds weird but I miss the feel of the 90's the world felt more innocent back then or maybe it was me I don't know.

Maybe hope. I mean with the end of the cold war, fall of the Berlin Wall, I don't think it would be wrong to say there was a general feeling of hopefulness among people in Europe and US.

Good point I think you are right back in the 90's I had hope that is long and dead now though. When you have permanent health issues hope dies along with any chance of happiness. Now its like sitting through a bad movie and hoping it will end soon.

Dang. Hope you feel better soon!

I've been trying to avoid getting sick against all odds as it seems like everyone around me is sick. I've been taking vitamin C in what can only be described as unsafe quantities.

@pyro1245: Like a bottle with Vitamin C pills every day?

Vitamin C is water soluble, so you piss it straight out again. It’s worse with Vitamin A (I think) which isn’t very soluble in water.

That sounds depressing. Physical or mental health issues? If you don't mind me asking.

Both I wouldn't go into to much detail but I have had clinical depression since the the mid 90's and my physical health issue that started in the early 00's and no doctor can find out what it is and they tell me it's all in my head it's extremely exhausting to deal with all this shit. To tell you the honest truth I only stick around because I don't want to hurt my family by leaving this planet it's really hard to give a shit about anything anymore when your problems are unfixable.
