I found it interesting that Obama's economic stimulus package was picked apart not by repubs but dems. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid stuck their fngers right into Obama's eye showing him no respect whatsoever. Meanwhile, the republicans cower like little rat dogs still scared of the Obama freight train that ran over them in the elections. that is my view anyway. Who do you think will be Obama's biggest political opponent?

It happens to every party when given power. Even inside the parties there are Democrats and Republicans who don't like big spending and disagree how to deal with it all.

I don't know. So far, Obama has done a great job of not making any enemies in Washington. And the behavior of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid is to be expected; they've finally gotten a fellow democrat back into the White House after eight years of Bush and they are going to try to take advantage of this opportunity to push their respective political agenda's. Same thing happened to Clinton during the first two years of his term.

doubt it. His package will take time.. Americans don't like to wait and will get tired of Obama in 4 years because his package is working to slow, and someone else will get elected..

Think of the start of Bush's first term. Things changed a lot between then and 4 years later. You never know what the landscape will be.

I don't know about that. I think that kind of "We're going to win! The polls are wrong!" and such rhetoric help Obama. If the members of a party can't even recognize they've got a problem, that is a big advantage.

Who don't want us to go further in debt from a massive economic "stimulus" which spends money we don't have to open up fake jobs that last only as long as the funding is there.

I'm not going to spend too much time answering this question. But the biggest threat to Obama is himself. He is already backing out of some promises he made to the public (pulling out of Iraq) and he isn't in office yet. He is starting to make serious enemies, which honestly isn't a bad thing in my opinion it means he's making decisions. But I have a feeling many people are going to be disillusioned by him when they realize he can not make good on even half of his promises. Thats the problem when your supporters get too caught up in the hype surrounding him. Even if he is doing a great job people will be upset he's not living up to these ridiculous expectations. Before anyone says I'm just hating on him I'll throw in that I voted for him.
