yes so do other VIPs and their kids.Don't all ex-presidents have stuff like this?

This isn't new, the op is a moron.
I thought the secret service provided protection for past presidents. Maybe it expires, but I thought it was indefinite. Just not to the same level.

I always thought it was indefinite as well.
don't know why he needs it, after all he's taking away everybody's guns and putting everyone in FEMA death camps, who would be left to kill him?lamprey263
Not those goddamn FEMA death camps again. Oh the humanity
Everytime I see your name I read it as Hard Dik Cicle. It fits your idiocy. This is pretty outrageous. His vacations cost the country millions of dollars due to the special arrangements needed for them, and now he does this. What does he think he has to fear that other presidents haven't? Currently a president only has to receive one "credible" threat a year to keep secret service protection beyond their 10-year allotment. That typically keeps presidents protected anyways, but he wants to make sure. Strange that he should do this.

Having secret service protection for life is new. Please do research before making baseless insults about one's intelligence next time.[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]Everytime I see your name I read it as Hard Dik Cicle. It fits your idiocy. A man who is the face of the most poweful country in the world issues a law whereby his loved ones are kept safe is a bad thing? Have you guys not seen the nutcases in your country who have guns? If I were in his position I would want protection from the crazies.
All this thread proves, is that there are some who will always hate Obama and everything he does.
Which suggests he's going to need the protection he just enacted. Of course, crazy men with gun haven't let Secret Serice agent stop them from causing harm, in office or not.

None of the former presidents need anymore security. When was the last time someone heard of threats made against Carter, Bush Sr., etc.? And if they do need security they should pay for it themselves, or raise money for it from their supporters. They are all wealthy and well-connected men. The support for this bill between Obama and congress indicates a ruling class mentality that they have. They believe in privileges for themselves at the expense of others. They believe they have rights that others don't have. They believe they can take away our guns while using our money to buy more guns for themselves. ...dear lord....He's the most threatened President in American History. It hardly seems strange.... [QUOTE="Laihendi"][QUOTE="worlock77"]- Reinstatement of a 1965 law - Bill proposed by Republican legislator - Was voted in by the House and Senate - Covers all former Presidents, not just Obama Try again Lahendihartsickdiscipl

[QUOTE="Laihendi"][QUOTE="Nuck81"] Can you quote any objective facts, or more importantly Reason?worlock77Obama is actively trying to infringe upon our right to bear arms, while signing a bill that will allow him to use the tax dollars of those whose rights he is infringing upon to buy armed security for life for himself. How exactly is Obama actively trying to infringe upon your right to bears arms?
Obama is considering an executive order to force gun control onto the entire country.
All legislativePowersherein granted shall be vested ina Congressof theUnited States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. The Constitution
He is once again undermining the constitution and, consequently, our civil liberties.
What a horrible man, giving his daughters and wife protection for the rest of their lives, he should be ashamed of himself.
if he issues an executive order that is unconstitutional, it will be overturned in the courts. Abbetenmhmm

Nothing was said about restricting the second amendment. And even if Biden did say that it sounds like nothing more than Biden talking out of his ass again. Obama's smart enough to not attempt an executive order that would overturned by the courts in 5 minutes.
