What bands do you guys know of that are really good to their fans/ just cool people in general? Just saw this video last night, and it made me wonder.

Don't know too many bands that would do something like this after a concert ;)..

State Radio does something to help the local community at every tour stop. Stuff like planting trees, cleaning beaches, and volunteering at homeless shelters and soup kitchens. I'd say that's pretty nice.

I don't know, Aerosmith was pretty nice at their meet and greet a couple years back, but other than that, not sure.

Also, The Killers

from experience, as in concerts i've been to (which isn't many), i'd say green day. they let people go on stage and sing for them, and at one concert i went to they let a little kid play guitar for them. plus they keep the entire crowd involved in their performances.

Your video reminded me of this one where Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) plays special requests on the street with some guy's guitar. I love that video. So nice of him to do that!

Grateful Dead, Phish, Jimi Hendrix, The Band. They seem real nice, at least.

Al Pitrelli of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, formerly of Megadeth, is a pretty nice guy. I remember at one of their concerts at the end of the show he gave one of the guitars he's been playing to some little kid, and I'm thinking, "WTF? Give it to me so it will actually be used!"

Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Super nice people, plus their former strings master is now going around to schools to get people involved in strings instruments by playing Rock songs. Its pretty sweet.

Metallica, theyre very loyal to their fans that attend their concerts. They always give a great show, a long encore, and let you tape their shows. They also do a lot of stuff just for fun. I went to a Raider's game once and, there they were, playing out the back of a U-Haul truck as people tailgated. Thats the nicest thing Ive seen a band of that status do.

I've never met any members, but from what I hear, Malignancy has some of the nicest guys. I know Nargaroth's Kanwulf is a psychologist and has a very soothing voice (when not singing obviously). Nergal from Behemoth is supposed to be insanely nice and very intelligent too, despite not appearing so at first glance.
