Hi, some backstory - I used to be avid online member of several forums and posted all the time, basically quite involved in the community. That was about 10 years ago. I have found most communities not to be toxic, or to not respond promptly, or to not be helpful in the least. But as an avid gamer, and also having a job + lifestyle where I am constantly on the computer, I figured I would give it a chance. So I have joined this forum as well as IGN's to give these two a shot. What do you folks think? I generally do have a lot of questions I'd like answered when it comes to games, consoles, technical aspects, upcoming news, and I also have a lot of experience and education where I feel I could prove helpful in many threads by providing my own answers.
Is Gamespot a good community to join? Is it not toxic? Will answers be provided to questions I may ask in a timely fashion? Will the community fell like just that - a community? Will it be worth it to me? OR is it better to stay on the sidelines?
Are there are other communities better for joining for these reasons or is this community great if I remain involved?
In any fashion, I would like to say hello and I am excited to see how joining this community works out for me. Thanks for all that may provide helpful answers to this, or to any other questions I may ask in the future on different threads. I hope this turns into a great community and one I enjoy being a part of - one I can turn to when I have questions about upcoming games, game choices, tech news and more. Thank you so much for any and all help.
