Wow, that really huge. On the media and everywhere else it's all about the Mandalorian. With Baby Yoda and the star wars background it sure enough to get lots of viewers. The Witcher is not really that well-known but Netflix seems to have done a good job marketing it. Well, Netflix is a bigger streamer than Disney X

Thought the Bard was the most annoying character on any screen since Jar Jar.

I would advise to watch the series before reading the books. I am reading the books and lot's of changes made to the stories annoy me. It makes it a little hard to watch. But I think that if you haven't read the books it is probably more entertaining.

It was the same for the Castlevania Netflix show when it was first released. It was the most-watched TV show in its first month or so.

Castlevania TV series is amazing however when it comes to popularity The Witcher has the upper hand probably because of its big fan base

Well Dandelion was a prick in the games too, at least in TW3...

I usually don't watch entire Series but I did with The Witcher. Really awesome series even if some of the actors look nothing like they are portrayed in the games.

Interesting divisions we are getting between critics and audience in recent times, might as well be on different planets.

I tried watching it but I could only get to about half way through the second episode.

I agree with Gamespot on this one. I'd also give a 4/10.

"You're a wizard Harry"! Yeah, no thanks!

I think the story of the Witcher is good and its more can be interesting, because of this I think the TV show is poorly made.

It nails the feel of the world, Cavill is spot on as Geralt and the acting accross the board is great.

However the show assumes you have decent knowledge of the Lord and if you havnt read the books or played the game you'll have a hard time following.

Telling geralts, yennifers & Ciris story from episode 1 in 3 different timelines spanning 50+ years was a poor choice, even threw me off for a episode and I've played all the games and done a little reading into the lore.

Show has great potential though as it does a lot of things right, however its a hard watch at times
