What movies do you think should of ended at a certain sequel? but went on to long and tarnish the series in a way.
Here are some of my choices of movies that should of ended at this title.
- Die Hard 3
- Fast and Furious 7
- Terminator 2
Spider-Man 2
Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi
Batman Returns
The Godfather Part II
Indiana Jones the Last Crusade
Oh plenty of those. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, first Hobbit movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets...

its even more absurd than @LJS9502_basic's
So you're a fan of emo Spider-Man, the prequels, Indy with Shia, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, and Godfather 3? You sir have no taste in movies.

I'll give you Godfather 3, and Shia was not the issue on Indy 4, but better Batman, Star Wars, and Spiderman movies came out since those you listed.
Hunger Games could’ve ended at two, but it ended on such a cliffhanger that it wasn’t possible.
Home Alone is famous for bad sequel after bad sequel.
Halloween should’ve ended at 2.
Terms of Endearment had a semi sequel called Evening Star that was just stupid.
Terminator 2 should’ve been the last.
Friday the 13th really should’ve stopped at 2.
For the most part, the direct sequel should be the last in any franchise. What franchise ever gets good with age?
The Alien franchise should have ended after Aliens.
Same with Terminator; should have stopped after Terminator 2.

Home Alone 2 still had a lot of the magic of the original but each subsequent entry outdid the prior in terms of poor quality.
Halloween? Part four wasn't bad especially with the return of Loomis and The Shape but the series could be complete with one, two and H2O and nothing else.
F13th? Arguably the best was The Final Chapter. Stopping then would have provided a open and shut and fairly complete story. Every entry afterwards was not needed and was merely cashing in on the 80's craze of slasher films until the 2000's of course.

What's wrong? Frankly Star Wars should have ended after Empire Strikes Back.
The Marvel universe should have ended either with Thor Dark World, or Iron Man 2.
@Solaryellow: @Sevenizz: "Home Alone 2 still had a lot of the magic of the original "
Sure Home Alone 2 was a cash in from the success of the 1st movie, but it still worked.
"but each subsequent entry outdid the prior in terms of poor quality."
No comment on the rest of the entries.

But not in those specific series.
