Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, anybody got it? If, so how much water does it hold in the industry and is it worthwhile to get the MCSD for .NET 1.1 or is it better to specialize in there new Tech program for 2.0? This may be way not the place to ask this but I like the turnaround time on posts here. Thanks for any help!

All MS Certs are pretty worthless due to the fact they only last 2 years, are expensive, and only show to people you have a realtive basic ability.  I perfer specific certs that dialog specific vendors/code

MS certs are pretty useless. You search and learn the questions you can find everywhere by heart and you pass with flying colors. Things like CCNA or Linux+ are more based on experience. They usually develop a scenario in which something goes wrong and you have to fix it. Not only is the fix worth points, but also the way you handled it and the approach you took.
