Very surprised at the helmet showing up and it looks great. I hope they use it at least consistently (during space flight, maybe action scenes), but I'm expecting them to follow the comic and just use it whenever they feel like it... which in live action movies will be seldomly. Very Green Lantern, I dig it XD

With that said, I'm excited for Captain Marvel cause I'm a fan of the comics.

I remember when they first revealed Thanos in the Infinity War teasers people were griping over him not wearing his helmet. But it turned out he does where his helmet in key scenes and he ended up being iconic without it as well. In the MCU I think we're all used to the CHARACTERS and not their costumes, because the vast majority of the characters in the MCU go through wardrobe changes. I think it's great the MCU managed to make the characters most appealing of all and not just the means of spandex. I think that's what the DCEU has truly gotten wrong because they prioritized that superhero label more than the character development.

I am very excited for Captain Marvel.

I'm really confused. After the Avengers Infinity War came out they launched a Captain Marvel trailer that looked unbelievable. It was truly amazing. But since then I cannot find it anywhere on Youtube, what happened? This one looks a bit trashy compared to that trailer.

That was a pretty underwhelming trailer. Doesn't mean the the movie is going to be bad but still... It doesn't look like it breaks the mold much and honestly might be a little boring.

I really liked the trailer.

I think they should have made a teaser having it just be her hitting into the Blockbuster and ending the video there.

For us older folks the Blockbuster is a really nice touch

Looks interesting... I'm wondering if all her dialog for this was taken from one scene. I hope so because her tone is very flat through out.

That's because Captain Marvel takes place in the 90's era. Blockbusters was still a huge thing, they were the only one's renting movies/games of their time, until the rise of streaming movies killed them :(

Solid, if unspectacular. Still, generally trust Marvel to make a decent popcorn flick these days. Looking forward to it.

Hollywood video was around and renting games in the 90's as well. They had a selection comparable to Blockbuster. What set them apart from Blockbuster was their porn section. May have been regional and not in your are area though.

Hollywood was big too. In our area it wasnt porn for them. But unlike Blockbuster you could buy videos too, for a good price.

but never the less Blockbuster was the biggest boy of the two

@heathen75: @tryit: I have heard Hollywood Videos, but sadly, there was no Hollywood buildings in my area I live and growing up in the 90's, so all we had was Blockbusters.

While the titular character is cool and all, I think I am most excited about a young Nick Fury. I wonder if a young Agent Coulson will be in there as well, the two of them seem like they go way back :)

Mine had porn as well. When I was a horny little critter, we'd always try and sneak in there (it was almost like a walk-in closet) and look at the covers of the movies haha.

We mainly used blockbuster, though.

I blame Redbox more than streaming services, tbh.

well speaking for myself I have used redbox once in my life, netflix mailing twice, blockbuster every weekend.

the second I heard about streaming it was literally the most exciting thing I had heard of in years, namely because I was traveling for work. So I could watch all kinds of stuff whenever and where ever I wanted, that was awesome
