Libyan Pilots ordered to bomb protesters

"Two Libyan Air Force fighter pilots have flown their jets to Malta where they told authorities they had been ordered to bomb protesters, Maltese government officials said."

And people thought Egypt had it bad. Seems some people are seeing this as the end of Gaddafi's rule if he is resorting to these kind of desperate measures to stay in power.

The middle east is one **** up scary place.

Unless of course they still end up in charge once Gaddafi leaves. I think the more crazy **** they get asked to do, the more likely they are to ignore orders.

Its nice to know that proper military men still acknowledge that their job is to protect their people above all else.

I also heard that 2 other Jets landed in Benghazi and joined the Protesters.

Interesting; all the pilots need to do is to start blaring rock music and The Clash will turn out to have been prophetic. :P
