Its not a movie but I just finished watching the Expanse and Watchmen. Great tv shows - they were pretty good the whole way through.

The Master.I thought it was just a feel good movie at first.About some poor WWII veteran overcoming his PSTD.Man i was so wrong. It was a great movie but Man some of the stuff in this movie hit too close to home for me.I'm no soldier or veteran but the part were the veteran regrets abandoning his sweetheart really made me think about a chick i had back in HS.By my metrics she was perfect for me.If i wasn't a grade A retard back then i would have probably being married to her now and having a few kids. The last scene were he is sleeping in the sand near to a female sand sculpture the soldiers made was heartbreaking.

28 weeks Later. This movie was pretty good.I'm kinda surprised this was the last one of this series and no more sequels were made.Since 2007.

Jumanji The Next Level

Too much like Welcome to The Jungle. The trailers really gave it away. Was funny in a few parts where Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart do impressions of Danny Devito and Danny Glover and fight like an old married couple. Overall it was alright though I probably just rent this or watch the first film. 7/10

John Wick 3 - Bit bloated, feels hollow, like looking at a pretty screen-saver, the characters are so self-assured and smug that nothing really has any weight and John Wick himself just a shell for fight-scenes.

Good, not great.

I watched Klaus on Netflix. It's a Christmas animated movie and a very nice one at that.

Casino Royale. This movie should have been called James Bond Zero.At first i was wondering why James Bond was depicted like a generic spy.Until i realized this movie was like some kind of prequel. Before he adopted his signature personality and everything else.If you take that into consideration the story is pretty good. But still the actor that depicts James Bond still looks like a generic Russian gangster.

Madonna: Confessions

7/10 for the music, +1 for showmanship. The music is fun in 5.1, almost like I was in a real concert, but the studio recordings are generally better performed.

I'm impressed by how fit she was in 2006. Those arms. So much stamina for a 48-year-old.

Shame this is stuck in crappy DVD quality. Video quality, I mean. The sound is in 1500 kbps DTS, which is surprising for a DVD.

Midsommar.I will never understand modern film makers and their fetish of showing naked old grannies in horror movies. If that's what gets them off ok but don't force your audience to watch that shit. This movie went from ok to i will never watch it again in my life after that scene.

watched Black Hole (1979) on Disney+ app, now I am convinced this is where Event Horizon (1997) got the overwhelming majority of its inspiration from just short of plagarism

The Duece, while not a movie it was great. If you haven't heard of it, its a show on HBO about prostitution and the rise of porn in New York in the 70s and 80s.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. After rewatching it, I really want Liam Neeson's Qui Gon to return as a Force Ghost in the Obi Wan series.

Beyond the Darkness.Pretty trashy Italian horror movie.I don't even know why did i even watched this.I think i saw it as a suggestion when i was looking for zombie movies but honestly this movie was more Texas Chainsaw Massacre than anything related to zombies. The only fucking zombie i got was at the end of the movie. But well at least there were some hot chicks in this movie.

1917.

Phenomenal, I was on the edge of my seat much of the time. I wasn't aware of the hoopla about the one take going in. Sitting there I was like, "Damn, this is like a thirty minute shot". There was one cut to black but it was done for dramatic effect and to mark the passage of day into night. The movie is stiched together footage, but there are shots that are up to nine minutes in length, or so I've read.

Would highly recommend to see it in the theatre, it's pretty damn epic and engrossing.

Longshot, that movie with Charlize Theron and Seth Rogan.

It was...surprisingly good. Funny, cute, and not overly feminist in agenda (which was surprising, given the cast and the story). It's a good rom-com for the dudes and the ladies.

I love single-take shots like that. Also glad to hear 1917 was good.

Tintin, the animated movie, had a pretty cool one. Not quite as amazing as a live-action one, but as far as design and execution it was really neat.

@mrbojangles25: if you enjoying single takes, man, see it. It's incredibly impressive work, and I'm curious as to how they did it. Their travels unbroken through the hell of no man's land was something I'll not soon forget in cinema.

Alien Convenant - WTF did I just watch? I've wanted a good Alien movie every since Aliens (which is the last great one) and sadly, this isn't even close to being great. Characters you don't give a shit about, check. Confused, rushed story, check. Rehashed scenes from previous movies, check. I'm not sure what Ridley Scott always thinking, but I know it wasn't "hey lets make a great original Alien movie". 3/10

Midsommar. It was a shitty movie. I was expecting something scary but it was just weird. I should have known since it was written and directed by the same person who did Hereditary, another film that was hyped to be a scary movie. At least Hereditary started off decent.

1917. I agree with others that it's a fantastic movie. The long and continuous takes leave you at the edge of your seat.

Also, A Marriage Story on Netflix. Very good, with an amazing performance by Adam Driver.

Iron Man 2, third or fourth time watching it and still enjoy it, not sure why it gets the hate it does? Maybe because its not quit as good as the first movie, which is still one of the MCUs best, but IMO its only a notch or two below that one. 8/10

Bad Boys, ahhh...when Bay still made entertaining and good flicks. Funny with good action and only a few explosions. 7/10

Parasite. It was an excellent film. Probably my favorite from last year at the moment.

I need to see 1917.
