@DEVILinIRON: I think it is more of a plot device to show how a segment of population still saw him as a "freak" and to provide an opportunity for the Bytes character to "snag" him back but I had not thought it from your perspective. Certainly years of abuse from the Bytes character would have conditioned him to be terrorized at the mere sight of that kind of individual.

I watched Dark Phoenix the other day. It was infuriating, and by that I mean it was a mess but there were a lot of elements that could have been molded into a movie that I would have really liked. A lot of people were complaining about Sophie Turner's Jean Grey but I thought it was adequate at worst and kind of scary and majestic at best.

There was so much to hate with the story dialogue and supporting actors but it was nowhere near as bad as Apocalypse or half the other Xmen movies for that matter.

Avengers: Infinity War

It sucked.

It was all over the place, jumping from character to character all the time. Story makes no sense with lazy plot holes. Thanos seemed pretty dumb, not scary. They failed to save the universe because Star Lord decided to be a 5 year old.

One of the dumbest movies I've seen in quite a while. It basically destroyed the earlier movies for me, so I'm gonna try to ignore it exists, and imagine for myself that some other events happened that led to endgame, if I decide to see that one.

Hellboy (2019) - Ughhh...where to begin? Bad CGI (90% of the time), bad characters, disjointed story, crappy practical effects for Hellboy himself, a lazy soundtrack (felt like it sorta wanted to be like Guardians of the Galaxy but with zero thought put into the choices), to many characters and non of them are fleshed out in anyway, I could go on for days. Oh and cursing just to curse for that R rating, none of it was Deadpool funny or impactful, just F bombs for the sake of getting them in there. I'm guessing the nightmare production rumors were true, cause this felt like 2 or 3 different films patched together, which would make sense since the director, studio and producer its rumored all wanted different things and fought like crazy the whole production. Even the right hand of doom looked cheesy and bad most of the time, and Hellboy does almost nothing with it the entire movie. Even with all its problems I didn't walk away hating it, but its not even close or in the same league as original 2 Helboy movies.

Hellboy 1 and 2 - 9/10

Hellboy 2019 -5/10 (that might be to high even)

Live And Let Die.Honestly the first half of the movie wasn't particularly interesting.I was this close to label it the worst James Bond movie i have seen so far but the second half saved it.

@hallenbeck77: Filmfour showed them back to back along with Drag Me To Hell.

Kinda like both endings tbh.

Although the bleaker one would make for a more unique sequel/series.

@uninspiredcup: triple feature--nice. Kinda wished they were able to get one last season out of Ash vs Evil Dead, especially how the last season ended.

I pick up this movie called The Orphan DVD. I must admit, this movie had one of the best thriller/horror I watch sometimes now. The twist of the movie was that she was actually in her 30's and had a rare disease which kept her looking like a child and her art for killing was so creepy to say the least. Money's worth spent.

Casino (UHD)

The movie is a 9/10 for me with this second viewing. One of Scorsese's greats.

The transfer is pristine. Afterwards, I skimmed through the Blu-ray I bought three years ago. What a difference! Not just the clarity, but the richer, more filmic colors. Makes me sad about all the classics that will never make it to the format.

The Head Hunter.Honestly i had high expectations from this movie. But the bad writing killed all the interest i had.First it started as the life of a cosplayer or how are they called? real life enacters? documentary. The mc is a monster hunter but you never see him fight this monsters. You only see him bring back his ''trophies''.Alright i get it they don't have the money for that.So why they don't focus on the drama of his story....nope.I felt nothing when at the end he killed the monster that killed his kid. Why? cause they didn't build that shit properly. And they don't even show that fight with that specific monster.Okay well at least we got some half-assed revenge story...nope.The same monster? survives and kills him at the end.

The Fugitive - Watching it, the climax action sequence is pretty limp when compared to the earlier sequences - Train, dam and hospital escape...

Still an awesome movie. But that kinda stood out.
