pretty sure any hero you honestly put up against superman will lose unless they somehow possess kryptonite. if you are asking who is cooler, that is entirely opinion.

Avengers. They are Marvels entire all-star cast. JL just has Batman (who rules) and lame-ass Superman.

To answer my own question, I think Justice League would win, but it wouldn't be a blow out or anything. And I guess I should make a poll...

Justice League will win because they have the Flash, Martian Manhunter and Superman. Flash could take them all down with his infinite mass punch which is going to hurt a lot and Martian Manhunter could simply shut their minds down with his telepathy and Superman could just fry them with his heat vision or even freeze the Avengers into giant ice cubes with his freeze/ice breath.

Imo, the Justice League would probably kick their ass. Superman and Martian Manhunter are probably more powerful than anyone seen in the Avengers, then you've got the cunning of Batman and the formidablness of Green Lantern, not to mention a few others.

The Silver/Bronze Age Superman was very powerful and could move the Moon but John Byrne's post-Crisis on Infinite Earths revision of Superman in 1986 reduced Superman's abilities and power levels considerably.

This is my understanding too. I haven't actually read any of the comics, but I've read a fair amount about them. The Hulk is capable of incredible levels of strength, but it would apparently take him ages of anger to reach anywhere near the strength of Superman, and even then Superman could fly off do a sun dip and gain more strength himself. The most common Superman (Earth-1 I think) is capable of holding open a Black hole or something crazy like that, and then you've got the even more powerful versions of him.

Justice league has batman and superman. I think those two is all that's needed to take down Avengers....

If not, adding Green Lantern should seal the deal...

This is pretty true lol, although there's like 10 different versions of the guy though, so some are more overpowered than others. God, Wikipedia like Superman Prime, that guy is ridiculous.

Justice League also has Martian Manhunter who is even more powerful than Superman. The original team also have Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

Well it depends who the lineup is for the Avengers and Justice League. Both teams have several members and it changes regularly.

If I remember the Justice League correctly they're all basically Superman clones. So yeah, they'd dominate the Avengers. Though I guess I'd need to see the movie, but I can't imagine they'd do well if they feel the need to accept people like Hawkeye and Black Widow.

Justice League. unless somehow Hulk really IS that strong....

but if you ask me who do i like more. it's definently Avengers, because of Iron Man (c'mon it's been my sig for YEARS), and Captain America. Plus I like Nick Fury and SHIELD, just find that organization fascinating.

Superman is the most powerful and Batman is the smartest. Justice League by a longshot.
