Amidst Trump's recent TrumpTapes/"hot mic" scandal, Voight goes on a tirade against fellow actor Robert DeNiro and "Republican turncoats" such as John McCain, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Condoleezza Rice, and much more.

Entire tirade below (because GS and Twitter don't embed well for me for some reason):

I am so ashamed of my fellow actor Bobby DeNiro's rant against Donald Trump. What foul words he used against a presidential nominee, who has worked harder then any other man I know in the past year and a half to get a good message to the American people.

I don't know of too many men who haven't expressed some sort of similar sexual terms toward women, especially in their younger years. Donald Trump's words were not as damaging as Robert DeNiro's ugly rant. Trump's words did not hurt anyone. Can you imagine if any Republican said words like Robert DeNiro used - against Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama? All hell would break loose.

I am calling for all Trump supporters to express their outrage and anger against DeNiro and all of the Republican turncoats against Trump. Let Donald Trump know we are completely behind him, and may God give him the strength to continue his calling.

Hey Mr. Voight, learn what consent is and why Trump's comment is incredibly foul.

It's a good thing I don't identify with a horny guy who constantly gets his way, loves pussy, runs his mouth and gets accused of being hitler.

Phew, wouldn't that be super awkward.

actually, the "Republican Turncoats" thing bothers me the most. I think if there's any unity among Independent voters, it's our hatred for Red vs Blue politics. That hurts us more than any one politician ever will, the cabals within our own government acting to their own advancement.

Who cares what any actor has to say regardless of position? They have an opinion as valid as mine, yours and anyone else on this board or in the country. Being a Hollywood "elite" doesn't make your opinion hold any more H2O.

Jon Voight, like 200 years old, and he still does not know it is wiser to go with your principles, than the way the wind is going.

Hillary Clinton has a career-long history of advocating and abetting war crimes and regime-change operations that have killed, wounded and beggared millions of innocents in Serbia, Iraq, Honduras, Ukraine, Libya, Syria and Yemen, to name just some of the nations that she's victimized.

But, hey, let's brush all that aside and throw a shit-fit about a little bit of harmless "locker-room banter" that's more than a decade old. That's what's really important!

Sexual deviants always defend their fellow perverts.

http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/09/robert-de-niro-not-charged-prostitution/

However, RadarOnline.com can reveal that the film legend, 71, became embroiled in a seedy prostitution sting after French authorities found his name listed in the convicted call girl ring boss Jean-Pierre Bourgeois’ little black book in 1998.

According to upcoming biography De Niro: A Life, “there were at least three women involved in the prostitution ring who claimed to have met De Niro, one of whom, the English porn star Charmaine Sinclair, had told investigators that he had been her lover,” author Shawn Levy writes.

we've got one thread attacking obama and you attacking De Niro here with respect to Trump's latest controversy. Seems the goal is to prove that everyone else is just as bad, but what's the point in that?

They're all turncoats, the RNC has stopped mailing for Trump, many republicans have unendorsed him and called for him to drop out of the race (including McCain and Condoleezza Rice), and even Tump's VP Pence wouldn't defend him after his recent hot mic video going so far as to cancel his showings at campaign events.

There's no doubt that it's getting hard out there for a Trump supporter.

I do wonder, who is the smarter person?

One who sees their ship sinking and gets into the lifeboats or those that sees it sinking and yet tie themselves to the mast.

I'm reminded of the moving poem of Casabianca:

The boy stood on the burning deck

Whence all but he had fled;

The flame that lit the battle's wreck

Shone round him o'er the dead.

Yet beautiful and bright he stood,

As born to rule the storm;

A creature of heroic blood,

A proud, though childlike form.

The flames roll'd on...he would not go

Without his father's word;

That father, faint in death below,

His voice no longer heard.

He call'd aloud..."Say, father, say

If yet my task is done!"

He knew not that the chieftain lay

Unconscious of his son.

"Speak, father!" once again he cried

"If I may yet be gone!"

And but the booming shots replied,

And fast the flames roll'd on.

Upon his brow he felt their breath,

And in his waving hair,

And looked from that lone post of death,

In still yet brave despair;

And shouted but one more aloud,

"My father, must I stay?"

While o'er him fast, through sail and shroud

The wreathing fires made way,

They wrapt the ship in splendour wild,

They caught the flag on high,

And stream'd above the gallant child,

Like banners in the sky.

There came a burst of thunder sound...

The boy-oh! where was he?

Ask of the winds that far around

With fragments strewed the sea.

With mast, and helm, and pennon fair,

That well had borne their part;

But the noblest thing which perished there

Was that young faithful heart.

"especially in their younger years"

Except Trump was 60 when he said it. That isn't to say that it would be ok for a young person to say it, just that this defence is incredibly dumb.

Trump himself has admitted the weakness of this defense:

“When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same,” the 70-year-old presumptive Republican nominee once told a biographer. “The temperament is not that different.”

Wait, who did DeNiro actually hurt with his words? A presidential nominee? Is that some sort of royalty that is beyond reproach now? I like Voight's work but get a grip grandpa. I'm sure DeNiro is losing sleep over disappointing John LOL ?

Once Trump ends up losing I am kinda curious what the Republican Party will become. I think over the next 4 years we are going to see a shift in their top players and some sort of rebuilding/rebranding. This Trump debacle has split the group right down the middle currently.

Voight is still around? Guy hasn't really been a positive presence for quite a few years. Last OK movie he did was National Treasure, and that wasn't even that great.

Trump celebrity supporters are hacks just like GOP candidates and parties. Senile Clint Eastwood, dumb Jon Voight, adopted North Korean Dennis Rodman, did-so-many-drugs-he-is-handicapped Charlie Sheen, and author of "Bob Loblaws Law Blog" Scott Baio.

Just goes to show, Trump supporters are bad company; from the duped blue-collar emotionals to the misguided man-child celebrities.

Let them fight among themselves. They earned it. They created the rhetoric, hostile divisiveness, and championed the anti-intellectualism that gave rise to figures like Palin and Trump. Now veteran Republican lawmakers are losing their own seats to a bunch of Joe The Plumbers know-nothing dumbshits. They conjured this golem to do their dirty work and it's turned on them.

Yeah, he is awesome in that show. He basically plays a destitute Trump. Just a shitbag father and man haha.

As for Voight, hey, being old does not auto qualify you for wisdom, it is something to ruthlessly obtained over a lifetime....
