Does anybody have any thoughts on this possibility?

@girlusocrazy: Definitely could be bad. However, Todd Phillips was a producer for A Star is Born. So it's not like they are jumping in without dipping a toe in first. Just curious if you liked the first one?

I'm all for this. Joker was cool, but not the kind of movie that needs a sequel. At least this way it would bring something new to the table.

I like musicals and I think Lady Gaga is a very talented person.

Any other movie announcement would not hit my radar. I generally don't like watching movies as I think they are boring. This is a mildly interesting concept tho.

Honestly I probably won't watch it, I just like the idea of it.

Not a fan of musicals so hopefully it's just a rumor. Then again I don't feel like Joker needs a sequel so maybe it's not a bad idea to go into an entirely new direction.

Depends on how it's done but I can be open to the idea. Last movie was dark, and if they can make a musical sequel that's just as dark, I'd watch that. Musical or not I'd be curious to see how Lady Gaga would play Harley Quinn.

I can totally see this working, actually. A romantic dark comedy musical.

Joker is put in a mental institution. In walks Harleen Quinzel, criminal psychologist.

Que music...

I'm serious. I totally understand why haters might disagree, but honestly...it's DC, outside of their animated stuff and one or two films, they're garbage from a film standpoint. They have nothing to lose, perfect time to experiment and take chances. Just keep the budget low, the quality high, and shoot for the stars! Get that EGOT (after the Broadway adaptation, of course😉 )
