I would only do it if the weather is nice outside and there's fresh air (as in you don't live in a place like new york or LA) Exercising briskly can help sometimes

yes u should because by being out in the cold it kills the bacteria

if u stay in the warm the bacteria will only grow

...pretty flawed logic, the germs are inside of him, so to kill the bacteria, his insides would need to reach 26 degree temperatures (as in death) Plus, it's a common misconception that germs are killed by cold. They often aren't, their growth is just stopped, often if you heat up the bacteria again they will grow.

I'm not really 100% sure. Though I've gone jogging when I've had a cold and it's doesn't seem to make it worse. In any case it's probably a good idea to have a warm shower when you get back :)

The rule of thumb is that its alright if most of your symptons are in the upper part of your body. If you have any quesiness or stomach pain do not.

I happen to have a cold, and I took a jog today (before seeing this thread)

And yes it does help.

A combination of fresh air and plenty of water can do wonders for the human body.

Probably because fresh air and straight fresh water is something that the average person doesn't get enough of nowadays.

the jog did not go as planned...im used to jogging for about 3-4 miles each time i jog, sometimes 5. i couldn't even go 1 mile without my stomach feeling like it has been shot numerous times. i ate one hour prior to jogging but that should not be the case. i have no idea why it hurt so bad. can someone shed some light on this situation for me please?

It's highly recommended that you don't excercise until you are better. The body is already getting tired trying to fight the cold and running only makes you more tired.

Some websites say its good, some say its bad... I usually do run when I have a cold - I just might not go as far if it gets really diffucult. And 26 degrees isn't that bad - It's not cold enough to make breathing difficult anyway.
