Story.

After a six month 300 million mile journey NASA just landed the InSight on Mars. The 300 million mile journey wasn't the biggest threat to the mission, it was the seven minute landing that could not be controlled by men back home and had to be done by AI.

This is the first lander to touch down on Mars since 2012. Thoughts? Were you following the mission or is this your first time hearing about it?

this stuff is always fascinating.

humans wanted to know what mars is like, so they took the dirt from the earth, fashioned tools from it, and shot it to there to go find out.

Someone on the radio commented that this landing was record-breaking -- was it due to the was of A.I.? Regardless, very neat feat. Eager to see what is learned.

Exciting stuff indeed. I’d love for some big extraterrestrial discovery to be made during my lifetime.

As Mars apparently use to be like earth, maybe fossils could exist? Who knows.

I kinda been keeping track of the Mars mission, I hope NASA finds something interesting on Mars and if this turns out good, this could push Humanity into getting the first Human on Mars at least.

Say, if they spot a Pyramid or Ruins on Mars, do they instantly cut the feed?

Amazing to think how applied mathematics and physics can be used to target a spot almost 300 million miles away, and not only hit it, but land safely and operate for years. I'd love to see more funding for all space related projects.

If we had funded NASA the way we've funded the military for the past 50 years, I wouldn't be on this planet ATM.
