Seen IT chapter 2 the other day, thought it was garbage despite Chapter 1 being excellent and an improvement on the orginal.

My main issue was its length, at nearly 3 hours it gets flat our boring, all horror is lost once IT is doing crazy things near the end and the adult versions of the main cast didn't gel as well as the kids.

There were too many plot holes to ignore even for a horror which normally gets a few free hits.

@thehig1: I actually liked part 2 more, but overall liked both, they were entertaining and fun.

No where near as creepy as the TV movie with Tim Curry tho. The cgi stuff just really takes me out of it, the old movie had to rely on actual props and make up effects. Tho its not as close to the book as the new movies, it is still the superior horror film in many ways.

These new ones have to much of a goonies vibe. Even in part 2, its almost comedic. Plus i still dont like new pennywise, he's borring compared to the old one, tim curry was very good at being funny as pennywise while switching to a sadistic asshole.

He was just more believable. This new one is just to goofy and doesnt scare me. But the production behind it is impressive, its a fun movie, just not a scary movie.

@jeezers: I prefer Skaarsgard IT to currys IT, its much more intimidating in the scenes he talks to the cast one on one.

@DEVILinIRON: "Somebodies told me The Peanut Butter Falcon was good."

Well with a title name "The Peanut Butter Falcon", it better be.

It 2 had pretty major issues with structure.

Bev and Ben as adults didn’t have much to do and didn’t feel like their kid counterparts.

Hader and Ransone were fantastic.

It’s a shame that the movie didn’t seem to have an actual story and so much of it just seemed like things happening without a sense of actual connectedness or a throughline
