I am pretty sure that he is considered to be a prophet in islam, yet many seem to "bury" that fact or teach that he is nt and that christians are the enemy. If they actually read that book they so love, why are they doing this? It's their prophet.

From what I've learned in various history classes Muslims consider Jesus to be a prophet, but they view Mohammad as the most important and final prophet.

This is accurate. For this reason some muslims have respect for Christians, calling them "people of the book".

Yes they view Jesus as a prophet. More like a person of significance, but they view Mohammad as most important. But they do not view Jesus as God in human form as the Christians state.

Pretty sure both Jews and Christ followers are people of the book in Islam and are acceptable for marriage, providing you have a schlong i think.

Thats why i call these three religions the Triumvirate of Evil.

All important Abrahamic figures are "prophets" in Islam. To many "moderate" apologists, all important figures in every religion are "prophets" of Allah. But Muhammad is the only prophet who got high enough to get the "real" Word of God from Gabriel in a cave.

I thnk a the anti-jewish sentiment prevalent in Islam has more to do with historical events than with any doctrinal disagreements. When the Muslim army first reclaimed Jerusalem during the crusades they were actually horrified at the iconoclasm of Jewish holy sites and tried to restore them along with Muslim holy sites.

The majority of Muslims I've met know very little about Islam. i once even heard one claim he didn't believe Jesus existed, the look on his face when I got out the Qu'ran was priceless.

All prophets in Islam are suppoesdly equal.

lets just assume every sect of the abrahamic religions was correct up to the point of the next one. jews are wrong because of christ, christians because of moham, and muslims because of john smith, and mormans because of Obama.
zing!
Applies to hatred from both sides. But anyway, there is more to the hatred rather than one's selection of prophets.

According to the Quar'an, yes, but he is not considered a living manifestation of God. Muslims acknowledge Christians as people of the book, but they are also insistent upon correcting people's conception of Jesus. Muhammad is the most important prophet. And of course, the Jews are still waiting for their prophet.

So what is accurate? I find it amusing you put out an ad hominem and then don't even bother correcting what you claim isn't.

They do. The quran states that Jews and Christians are brothers to the muslims.
