Of course it does, it has been translated and been rewritten by man (a imperfect being) its impossible for it not to have errors.

I mean you make these and know exactly what is going to happen. There are going to be people on both sides of the fence and it will erupt into another atheist vs. believers and who is right. It just gets old cuz nothing is ever accomplished...

Just because people think the bible is flawed does not make them disbelieve the religion.. Most rational people should understand that even if the first bible was gods word, that by no means that the bibles today are that.

The Bible is vernacular, meaning true. And because God is truth and the Word is God, the Word is also truth. Thus making the Bible faultless.

Hmm yes the original bible maybe. But not the bibles afterwards which have been rewritten by a imperfect being (man).. Translations, gramatical etc mistkaes will/did happen due to not being perfect.. Also the fact that mankind is inheritnly a selfish being meaning one could inject their bias with in the bible it self. Now if god tries to preordain that the bible can never change or any such thing, the being is infact contridicting with free will.. Which is a contridiction of the bible.

If you read it correctly then it's flawless and true. The way to read it is to take everything that doesn't make sense, throw it into the 'Metaphor' category, then interpret it to something that agrees with your views. Problem solved, the Bible is the Truth!

The bible is a purely metaphorical piece of work, the events "recorded" all representimportant events that occured just after or well before recorded history.

oh, and before you guys start bashing me for not believing in god.

I think the idea of a higher power is great, it keeps the normal citizens happy in times of Death and Deceases by making them believe that they will be fine after this.

to bad so many people abuse the religions, sure Islam plays a big role in it, but Christians aren't clean either for slaughtering thousands of people during Crusades or like now in India ( not sure) against the hindoes

I hate these religion extremist who kill in the "name of god"

And people wonder why humans don't get along.

thats why God had his hands on his book, to make sure it was flawless... thik about it why would an all-powerful God let evil man be in control of his book?

THATS CONTRIDICTING FREE WILL.. To say that god is interfereing with the will of man to control any aspect of life is infact contridicting the bible. God gave man freewill to put any interference on it even to some how "protecting" the bible is infact going against freedom.. And its odvious the bible has been changed by bias, there are numerous volumes and numerous sects of religion with some very strikingly different beliefs and ideas.

Thats my entire point if god were to do this the being would be infringing on free will. And just because a person changes the bible doesn't neccesarly mean they are evil.. They may havea belief they think is correct etc etc, that by no means they are evil.. God has no control of man that is the entire point, thus the bible can not be controled by god. Which is being rewritten by man.

Thats debatable.. 1000 years ago Christians said the exact same thing, yet slavery, inequality, suppression of womans rights etc etc was considered the norm.. Who knows how much Christianity or religion in general will change in thenext thousand years if mankind is still around.

don't look at the people using religion to fuel their lust for power. look at what the Bible teaches.... i hate it when people are like i can't believe in something because look what some psychos did with it. just read and learn for yourselves.

no it's unanimous. it's been confirmed to be accurate more times than any works from socrates. which means that it's more likely that the stuff in the Bible happened than anything about socrates.... yet no one seems to debate that socrates lived....

Very flawed argument.. For one Socrates points and ideas were never considerd fact they were considered a perspective that was built in through out philsophy.. Infact Christanity holds many similarities to Plato's, Socrates's and Aristotle's philsophical approachs.. And yet again no one argues that Jesus existed or not.. We argue rediculous stories such as Noahs Ark being fact.. We argue that the bible is not 100% true from its origianl which is certianly true.. A imperfect bien gcan not replicate perfection, we have no meaning of the term aside from mathmatics.

Most philosophers never say that Socrates writtings as well as numerous others are exactly 100% accurate, they understand this.
