Is it such a bad thing to post on GS?

Got some people saying it apparently was on my other topic. I just post here because none of my friends like videogames, so I don't have much people to talk to about the thing I love the most in the world, so I come to a forum in which the community is mostly warm and welcoming, to talk, share and gather opinions on gaming in general.

So what's the big deal? Do you think it's something so bad/fail/awkward?
