Is it just me or does firefox take up ALOT of ram?

Hi. Topic. Seriously, i noticed a downturn in the preformance in my computer since i got firefox and i found that its using about 100 megs of ram. !!!

how much ram do you have....i have 512 (128 dedicated solely for my vid card) and i havent seen any slowdown...and i have forefox, itunes, aim, and msn messenger running

Mine only goes up to 80. Not that bad, its not like you are going to be playing games and be on firefox at the same time so its no problem

i got 512 too... And now im typing this from inet explore and its using less than half the ram. And i have aim and itunes running too and now that im running internet explore its running alot better

and it might also have to do with the fact that i have windows 2000. Stupid ebayer... preloading horrible OS's

well, i have more ram than you but i dont have a very powerfull processer. I bought the computer for internet exploring, but firefox is saying that its not enough

i would but i dont have enough cash... Somebody stole my wallet and it had 100 bucks for windows xp on it.

Luncbox1
Control, Alt, Delete. Then you go to the folder called Processes and it will show a list of programs that are running and how much memory(ram) they are using

My ram = 736MB

My Processor = 1.79Ghz

ff runs fine for me

My ram = 736MB

My Processor = 1.79Ghz

ff runs fine for me

my ram 512....processor 1.78ghz...runs fine for me

thats weird... i started it up and now its only taking up 30mb of ram
