or does anyone else hate the use of aim-speak?
Unless it's done by someone purposely trying to sound like an idiot, I can't stand when people use: u, ur, thx, b4, ppl, sum1, etc, etc, especially if they're already taking the time to type out a lengthy response. Regardless of what they're saying, I can't help feeling like posters who use these terms are morons, even though they might be making a great point.
Also, I hate when people mix up basic homophones such as: to, too, & two, then & than, your & you're, there, their, & they're, etc, because they never fail to sound extremely unintelligent. They put an "edit" option for a reason, but I find that many users will do something like posting an apology for a double-post instead of just deleting the extra copy!
It's impossible to type everything correctly the first time all the time, but there is always the option of editing your post so that it doesn't sound completely devoid of knowledge.
Is anyone with me on this?
