What make you think GOD has any form? Why not just energy.
How about its GOD it/he/she can take any form.
[QUOTE="DanBrim1"]It has nothing to do with God taking any form, but everything to do with which gender was created closer to God's nature. What make you think GOD has any form? Why not just energy.
How about its GOD it/he/she can take any form.

Ok then go with GOD is the sum of all forms man/women ect...
Abviously God is not a man. But the reason we recognise Him as masculine is because the Bible always reffers to Him as our father, and He created man in His image.elmo90
"Then God said, Let us make man[4] in our image ... in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
The referance to man is as in mankind..
.What really makes me wonder is it say "Let us make man" Just who is the us, did God have a friend helping out?
It's strange b/c I remember the first time it occurred to me that most people refer to god as a man, or atleast something of male characteristics.
Since then I have tried to refer to god as it, and if any one asks me what it is, then I usually reply "it is a table lamp".
Not b/c I think god is a table lamp but, b/c I think it there is no reason not to believe that it is a table lamp.

Otherwise that is one thing I've never appreciated about the bible - that everything seemingly important was result of a man. Seems sort of odd...
Although I've never read the bible at great length, so maybe having jesus wasn't the only accomplishment for women.
I think of myself as an athiest but when it comes to some things then I just dont know how to explain it. I just think its an energy force, like star wars I guess.
God is always referred to as a "He". He is called "Our heavenly Father." Jesus called Him "Father."
God's a He.
