What do you think is the best comfort food to have when you watch a movie or a TV show?

For me hands down it's chicken wing dip I'm not joking when I say my brain releases serotonin when I'm having it it's like a drug so good.

Don't know if it qualifies as comfort food but if heaven exists, it's eating a Triple Crown pizza with boneless bites no sauce from Pizza Hut with my feet on my desk watching something i enjoy.

If it does not qualify as comfort food, then it would be opening a bag of cheese curds and eating all of it.

Pizza, popcorn, nachos, mozzarella sticks, breaded cheese curds, etc. come to mind.

I feel particularly comfortable with a big bowel of soupy noodles with loads of toppings. Szechuan-style sour and spicy noodles is very comforting, especially in winter.

But if I am watching a movie with my wife and daughter, occasionally we eat a load of pan fried crabs with soya sauce, ginger, garlic, chilies and rice wine.

It’s a great TV food, slowly picking at it and it usually lasts the entire movie. Plus a glass or two of Coke Zero.

The Bloomin’ Onion from Outback Steakhouse.

Thing is heaven incarnate, if only it wasn’t like 10,000 calories.

Way too many to name for me. What I'm feeling like right now is a chicken fried steak with country gravy, some fries and a Fanta. Though tonight, I'm having a kebab.

Honestly a good roast or braise. Pork, beef, chicken....vegetables like potatoes and carrots and celery...then either just roast it, or sear then deglaze with some wine and stock and then braise for some time.

Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, polenta, or some other starch.

Yeah and when you get about 1/2 way through you can see this pool of oil in the bottom. It's pretty gross. Plus the dip is mostly oil, too.

@mrbojangles25: gimmie all that gross oil. Though I’m surprised a whole onion is sub 2k calories.

I’d say a pizza if I’m ordering food, chilli with garlic bread and cheese if I’m making something at home for myself.

Used to be chips for me. Now I prefer my tvshow/movie food to be hot, something cooked, seasoned/fried. Especially in winter with these temperatures we've been having (-30°C to -40°C).

Chicken Wings Hot, or Fried Chicken Spicy. Honourable mention, real pizza but just a couple of slices.

Cinnamon Buns, extra icing for dessert, or ice cream.

I don't eat when I'm watching something, but my comfort food is a spaghetti sauce. Couple jars of Ragu, cook up some ground beef, pork and bacon, sautee some chopped celery, sweet onions and green bells, season with some cajun and simmer.

Mostly stolen from my moms dirty rice, except I'm not putting gizzard in my sketti.
