If you got four grand randomly and all your bills paid off, what would you buy?

Be selfish

If I had four thousand dollars, and all my responsibilities taken care of in advance I would buy:

A PS2(one of the only consoles that I do not own) and I would get the Metal Gear and Gears of war games to go with it. est cost 75$

A fender Jaguar Bass 400$

A fender telecaster 300$

Epiphone SG 200

Gibson EB 5 String Bass 800$

Some home studio equipment for music recording/production 800$

Then use the rest for a trip to Amsterdam and Ireland.

If i had to be selfish, which i would never, but for the case of this scenerio, i would buy me a Mustang. Which i did by the way, but first i spend the same amount on my fam. And by the way 4K, does not buy a Mustang, it buys half of this old one i got.

I already have a PRS custom 22. I'd probably spend it on a Diezel head and a nice 4x12 cab.

A new living room chair perhaps.

Four new winter tires for the car.

And whatever is left likely food or maybe some cinema tickets or something.

Nice, I oddly have more access to amps/cabs/heads then actual instruments. My Bass is old and my current guitar is an old acoustic.

Either spend it on a week long trip in Seatlle, or a new bed. Both are good for me.

this happened to me recently (well not randomly, profit sharing bonus from work)

I put it into a RRSP, thrilling stuff. Few things I could have bought like a dishwasher but I am too lazy to do the research and legwork to make that happen right now

I would be more excited about a surprise week off than more money

I would probably put half in the bank, and use the other half to either buy some Apple stock (not into their products, but a lot of people are, I'd be betting on cars, significantly down from its 52wk high), or spread it across multiple penny marijuana penny stocks, hoping one was scooped up my either a big pharm or cigarette company.

I would buy/build a brand new computer. With the other ~$2000 I would take the family on a vacation.

I'd probably spend a grand on new irons (Mizuno MP-25 or JPX-850 Forged), a backspalsh for the kitchen, or hardwood floors. If I went with the irons or backsplash, which would probably only run around $1k, I'd save/invest the remainder or put it towards the principle on my mortgage.

If I was being selfish and didn't want to save it which I would in reality absolutely do... I would spend it all on video games and liquor.

I would probably spend 400-500 on upgrading pc parts, then save the rest. I put a lot of my money into a cd.

I must be getting old...

I'd put it towards a down-payment on a house.

I would put a relatively small portion of it towards a new computer.

Then I would find a way to invest the rest of it.

Four grand isn't a lot of money. I'd probably just throw it in the bank though.

Probably a 3D printer. X-ray machine to check BGA chip installs.

Or I would put it towards an electronic product I'm making to help with the prototyping cost, pcbs and chips are expensive!

I would invest it.

If i had to spend it though i would get two Titan P's (probably evga hybrid versions), a 1440p 144hz g sync monitor, and air conditioning for the summer.
